Although Texas is a long way from Ireland, Dallas knows how to pour a Guinness, pinch a hiney and pucker up on St. Patty's Day. So everyone is in luck as a parade of celebrations is happening throughout the city where you can catch yourself a string of green beads and overindulge in green libations.

Family and drunken singles unite in The 30th Annual Greenville Avenue Parade on March 14th. At 11am an eclectic parade of floats will start to roll south from Park Lane. Candy, beads and random items such as condoms and coupons are thrown about during the procession that dumps into a Lower Greenville Avenue block party. The nearest Irish pub to participate is the Dubliner but Stan's Blue Note, Hurricanes, the Blue Goose and others sell green beer and snacks to anyone who needs an excuse to act obnoxious before sundown.
