Editorial Review for Cravings – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Under an attention-grabbing red awning, well-to-do locals, European émigrés and celeb-seeking tourists order from a creative Mediterranean menu. Highlights include feta-covered stuffed eggplant and Hunter's pie, pastry filled with ground beef, spinach and onions. Turkish-style flattened steak with spicy salsa is a dinner favorite, as is crab ravioli in lobster cream. Lighter bites include sandwiches, pizzas and salads, such as lemon chicken tossed with mixed greens and tangy mustard-herb dressing.

I visited Cravings restaurant on 8/11/2008. It was absolutely amazing experience. Food was delicious and waitress very friendly. I felt like at home. I was suggested to try crab ravioli. It became my favorite dish!!! To my surprise it was “real”!!! I mean real crab meat and real lobster souse. Delicious!!! Desert was also great. Thanks to Cravings my romantic dinner was complete.

I must qualify this review by saying that I have never been here in person, but I received delivery from Labite. However my issues are with the food itself so I think it's still fair. I ordered the crab ravioli and was disgusted. Lumps of pasta stuffed with canned crab with tons of cartilage and no cheese or seasoning of any kind. I ate two and simply couldn't eat the rest. Their "tiramisu cheesecake" is a wholly unremarkable cheesecake with nothing at all to distinguish it as "tiramisu" without the name. It tasted store-bought rather than freshly made. I enjoyed the tapenade that came with the bread rolls, but one roll was so stale it was literally impossible to eat. While I understand that restaurants don't always produce their best work for delivery orders, I'm amazed that they flout their crab ravioli as a "favorite." It was literally the worst I've ever had. I'm glad I found this out through delivery before deciding to try it out in person.
