In Short – When it first opened in 1913, the Majestic Theatre was a vaudeville house that also screened movies. Today, this masterfully restored, five-story Renaissance Revival performance venue seats 1,570 people and plays host to various productions, including the Majestic Broadway Series and world-renowned Dallas Black Dance Theater. Inside, walls painted in shades of gray with gold-leaf highlighting, plush wine-colored carpets and a baroque-flavored lobby stand out, while the auditorium boasts Corinthian columns.
