The Scene
The interior is dramatic, with 12-foot-tall translucent curtains dividing the dining room and numerous accents vying for attention: colorful art glass, candelabra and bamboo plants. Caramel-hued wooden chairs and floors give the space a warm glow. Clientele is largely 30- and 40-something professionals, enjoying expense-account lunches by day and dinners by night. Cocktail drinkers gravitate toward a full bar that's handsomely appointed with mirrors and pendulum-hung spotlights.
The Food
The extensive menu offers sushi and "Japanese and Indochine" dishes, which arrive picture-perfect on arty serving platters. Bento boxes are a popular lunchtime choice: each contains California roll, egg roll, rice and salad, with choices like sake-marinated sea bass or sauteed beef tenderloin. Highly recommended are seafood dishes seasoned Vietnamese-style with sea salt, garlic, onion and jalapeno pepper--the calamari is flavorful and meltingly tender. At dinner, rack of lamb, filet mignon and whole lobster appear on the menu.

Service was awsome! but food is just not right. im big fan of asian food but this flavor was not right. i love the atmosphere. but main point of restaurant is food!

I love Steel's atmosphere. I hadn't been to Steel in over three months, and the valet remembered my name. It was like he wasn't even human, but like a robot trapped in a valets body. In my opinion " He broke the chain off, and left it dangling" As far as the service inside, it was Four star. The server was very informative and didn't mind special treatment. They made it happen, and i would recommend Steel for all your sushi needs. P.S. The valet had the cars waiting for our party as we exited the restaurant
