In Short – Built in 2001, the home of the Mavericks and Stars has the appearance and feel of a hi-tech airplane hangar. The red-brick exterior houses a viewer-friendly seating bowl with three main levels. A high-resolution matrix board on the facing of the Platinum level stretches around the arena. An eight-sided digital scoreboard with four high-definition video displays hovers over the arena floor. Championship banners hang from the rafters. Concession areas are plentiful.
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:
- The thick outer walls and the electronic equipment in the arena hinders cell phone reception. Stand near the outer doors if you must.
- Parking:
- Lots are easy to access, but satellite lots on the southeast side of the arena charge a bit less, though the walk is farther.
- Where to Sit:
- The seats in the lower portion of the second level provide a bird's-eye view of all the action. They're also easier to get and more affordable.

Great venue for hockey. New HD video boards are tremendous additions.
