HORRIBLE DANGEROUS PLACE FOR SENIORS. My sister had chest pains and was congested complained for a week, when she said she wanted to go to the hospital they finally took a chest xray and she has pnuemonia! The doctor never examined her just ordered some anitibiotics, she has COPD so pnuemonia is very dangerous for her. The nurses here are so mean to the patients it is ridiculous. I have heard them tell patients to "get over it" "don't exaggerate" and other mean things, even when they start to cry. Most of the staff is so rude and uncaring when I said I was going to report them to the state, a nurse at the desk starting laughing. Not a good place folks. I am looking for a new place for her.

Victoria Gardens of Frisco - Kindness. My sister had an accident and the high price of healthcare quickly wiped out her savings. After being in the hospital for nearly 3 weeks her doctor recommended she go to a skilled nursing and rehab facility to get stronger before she went home.

We tried Prairie Estates, Baybrook and the Belmont, they all turned her down because all she had was Medicaire and no other insurance. They all would take her for 20 days but after that she was on her own. We learned that Medicare only pays 100% for 20 days after that there is a 137.50 a day copay. We couldn't pay the copay so they wouldn't take her. Someone suggested Victoria Gardens of Frisco.

We went and visited them and talked to the admitting person. She explained how to appy for Medicaid and told us they would work with us to get my sisters application submitted.

The building was beautiul the staff treated us like family and after another three months my sister went home and is dong great. I would recommend these folks to anyone. They treated us with respect, helped us get my sisters medicaid and helped her get back home.

Quality healthcare at Victoria Gardens of Frisco. When you hear the word hero most people think of firemen, policemen or soldiers. There is no doubt that these people are heroes. However, when I hear the word hero, I think of the staff at Victoria Gardens of Frisco. I placed my mother at Victoria Gardens of Frisco after a poor experience at a brand new facility in Frisco. I learned the hardway that fancy buildings doesn't mean good care. By the time we found our way to Victoria Gardens of Frisco her hip was broken and she had given up. She felt life was not worth living. The team immediately began to work with her. Because she broke her hip, she was not able to walk. The therapist began working with her, teaching her ways to transfer safely from her bed to the wheelchair. After a while they had her using a walker and finaly walking independently. Because she saw the same nurses, therapist and CNA's everyday, she really got to know them, and they really got to know her. The most amazing thing happened, as my mother's body began to heal and the bonds with the staff grew, she began to smile and look forward to each day. This team gave me my mother back. That is why when I hear the word hero, I think of Victoria Gardens of Frisco. If you have a loved one that needs help, I would encourage you to consider Victoria Gardens of Frisco. Victoria Gardens of Frisco understands that each person is unique and deserves to be treated with respect, dignity and a little love.
