I'm not surprised to see all the negative reviews on this medical outfit. I also have never experienced a positive visit over the past year I've been going here with the front desk assistants. They are rude, unprofessional and act like it's a dead end temporary college job where customer service is non-existent.
They hang up on you the first chance they get. If you try to call them anytime between 11AM and 2PM, you'll get a voicemail that says the office is closed for lunch hours even though it says it's closed for 1 hour. 3 Hour lunch, really??? If you leave a voicemail, don't anticipate a call back. You will need to call back and look foward to a pissy receptionist who hates her job and life. Always make sure they sign your prescriptions before you leave otherwise you'll get to the pharmacy and they will send you back to get a signature. Also, if you're coming in to do a monthly prescription refill not permitted over phone/fax, make sure you call a week in advance. Even with the ample notice, I've had to wait 4 days after my prescription runs out to finally have someone authorize the refill.
I'm writing this review because today i called about blood test results that was mentioned I would receive in 2 days but the front desk said I have to wait 7-10 days offsetting the expectation the doctor told me (Not my normal PCP). She proceeded to hang up on me before I could ask if they will call me or i should call them back. Just an unpleasant experience to deal with these guys.
They only reason I've stayed this long is because Dr. Jack Maxwell seems to genuinely care and this outfit is conveniently 5 minutes down the road from my house. I might recommend sharing your experiences with Medical Edge based in Dallas, TX who bought out this facility.
another hippa violation – i have been going to this doc for a while now and the doc there has actually been great until i wanted a copy of my own medical records and they told me no way .i have paid them for their services out of my own pocket and they still wont release my own medical to me.i have choosen to get a second opinion for my medical needs and now im gettin a nasty nurse on the phone .this is a hippa violation .and they dont care . its to bad that they are loosin a patient over this b-s.i really liked the doctors there but the nurse in charge of accounting is really pushed me away .SO BE CAREFULL IN THE DOCTORS U CHOOSE .wish that i would have seen this previous review before i went to this place .
HIPPA Violation Heaven – As someone who grew up with parents in the medical field I can't believe this place hasn't been closed down because of the HIPPA violations that go on daily. The majority of the staff are nice people; however, the ones who are nice, do a good job and provide excellent service to the patients are the ones who are stabbed in the back by the but kissers who would rather cover their own butts than get the job done!
So far in a 2 month period one of their PA's has represented himself as an MD and told blatant lies, their "practice manager" has removed patient records into her personal vehicle (SUV) and left them on the seat (not in a lock box, just out on the seat) while she went to HAPPY HOUR! The assistant office manager at the Highland location is a regular user of illigal substances. And if you call them out on their HIPPA violations, including giving personal information about test results to patients in the middle of the waiting room, using full names and specific results, they discriminate against you and refuse to alow you to access records forcing you to have tests repeated which insurance will the deny paying for a 2nd time. And if you call the number they give you on your privacy rights/HIPPA rights form it's someone in their company who "investigates" ... just saying ... that seems really unfair and biased to me.
Just don't waste your time. They can't even diagnose Flu in a 9 year old! Spend a little more time driving and find a good doctor that will actually diagnose and treat you. Personally, I don't like the idea that people working with my medical records have been getting drunk and high within 12 hours of going to work.
It's sad, that all they seem to care about is the money and not the patient. Not sure why they became doctors in the first place.
They've also mailed lab results including full names to the wrong patients before. Ooops sounds like they just can't get it right. Like I said, the staff who are rude and don't care are rewarded and the staff that care and try and do a good job are treated badly. Why would anyone want to do it right in that case?

Wonderful Doctors! – I have been going to this clinc for 5 years now. I wouldn't see anyone else!.
Great Doctors who care – I was from out of town working a job in Dallas when I started receiving bad headaches. Emily diagnosed it to a Cysts in the middle of my Brain. I had emergency surgery to remove it. I was days within lying in a coffin. I am very grateful to Emily and her staff for saving my life. Emily continued to follow my re-coup after the surgery and showed a sincere concern to my health that many other doctors do not have.
