Very very dissapointing!. Going after over 1.5 years and everything was lacking! The quality of the food, the service, folks were scraping the bottom and not because it was good! The floors filthy, the plates and the bowls dirty! I was so ready to walk out except the folks on my table had already served themselves! I had taken my parents for a treat and boy, was I embarrassed! I am not one of those people who writes reviews - I felt so strongly about this that I was compelled to write.

Thali... You get South indian and North Indian thali here..Calm atmosphere.Service depends on the staff apppointed for the day..Avoid vada if possible..Food can be made a bit less oily.

terrible service.. I eat in restaurants all the time, do to traveling.I have never experienced such a bad service anywhere.I ate here for lunch and dinner,( because it it kosher and vegetarian)but never once I had good service .Wait people are indifferent, sad,the front desk person can care less about you, always on the phone) Dinner time the food is NOT consistently good. Lunch time the dishes are NOT removed from front of you...

I ate at the San Antonio location and received the BEST service there. This one is consistently bad service. Would NOT recommend it to friends.( At the beginning I took friends there and they do not want to return)

Someone must contact the owner, because there are not many kosher vegetarian restaurants in Dallas, most observant people have to eat somewhere, and the food is o.k. Avoid it on Sunday early afternoons.

Best Vegetarian Food Hands Down. My family and I just moved here from NYC and were desperate to find a really great place to eat. We found it with Madras Pavilion. Great buffet. Excellent Indian food. If anyone doesn't like this restaurant, their taste probably leans more towards McDonalds. I highly recommend this place.

south Indian food is not good. Dosas are horrible. We went on an evening for dinner and ordered Mysore Masala Dosa. To my shock, Dosas are very bad here. The Alu palya stuffed inside dosa doesn't taste good at all. The food doesn't have south Indian touch at all

NO NO SIMPLY NO. Me, my wife and our son went here for a dinner. Experience is very bad.

CONS:

1. We were given kid water glass to be self served.

2. Kids order was forgotten and missed

3. Kids meal which includes ice cream but ice-cream was never served.

4. food quality if below average.

5. Billing took 5 mins to complete

6. Inspite of complaining at the billing counter about bad service - no expression or any sorry.

PROS

1. really none.

Thanks

Lunch Buffet is Excellent!!. Myself and my husband are from Minnesotta, we really relished the food here, the lunch buffet was excellent and especially the Rasam tasted wonderfull!! people who live in Dallas, TX are really lucky to have so many food places to choose from, from our side the Madras Pavilion gets the Best VOTE!! :)

Southern Indian vegetarian cuisine in Richardson unique for its kosher status.. In Short
The clean, simple dining room perfumed with incense is a comfortable place to enjoy mild veggie concoctions cooked in surprising and inventive combinations. Some items will be familiar to Indian food fans, like vegetable samosas or the mulligatawny soup. Among the more exotic choices are dosai (vegetable-stuffed crepes) and uthappam (Indian pizza).
