The food here is tasty when the workers do their job well. It really depends on the days. The raunchy smells i think are because of people wasting mounds and mounds of food and dumping them onto the floor (buffet and all).
weekend & holidays days are the freshest/tastiest but most crowded.
my favorite is their sweet/sour soup + seafood soup. I think people on this page really don't give this restaurant enough credit.
I wish I had wrote this review a year ago.... Why do you ask? The food was much better at that time. Walking in one would never be able to guess the disappointment that is about to follow. I used to dine at this place all the time a year in half ago and everything was always good, seemed to be sanitary, and for a good price. Now only 1 of the 3 exist. The seafood smells awful which I think gives the stinky foot aroma. I can honestly say it will be at least another year before I step foot in this place again.
Okay-so it is my mission to find the best Chinese Buffett around!!! This is definitely not it! Walking in they had this really neat fish tank with these huge fish that make for great conversation, more on this later. I walked through second set of doors and there was water dripping from the ceiling that dripped right onto my FACE!!! They walked us to the booths that smell as though they haven't been cleaned in years and sat us down. We proceeded to the buffett and found the rest of our fin friends from the fish tank in front on the buffett. I swear to you their were whole fish fried up-wish I could download pics...because we took some with our camera phone. Then my friend sat down with her crab rangoon surprise to find pieces of wire that were explained to be from the cleaning utinels. They did however have a huge selection of rottting fruit!!!! There were rows and rows of cakes that weren't half bad and did have some creative toppings for their ice cream including, nuts, strawberry glaze, cocoa puffs (yes the cereal) and some other strange chopped up something!
This will not be a place that we will be going back to!!!
What's in my Crab Ragoon?.
I'm not necessarily a Chinese Food Expert, but I have been eating it for years, and I'm a firm believer that it's very hard to screw up fried rice or sweet and sour chicken.
This place was terrible. First off, the place smelled like FEET! There was a large selection of food, yes, but it was all disgusting. there was one chicken choice, which was stringy and tough. There were disgusting WHOLE fried fish on the buffet as well. I was also lucky enough to break open a crab ragoon and find a piece of metal from the brushes they clean the pans with. This is only after I had eaten one half of the ragoon already. Who knows what I ingested before this. When I told the manager, all she had to say was that she was sorry, and that she would tell the kitchen guys to be more careful.
Being the brave soul I am, I moved on to the Sushi. I promptly spitt it out. The roll had been sitting so long that it was one hard mass of rice and dried out fish. The whole time I was there, they did not bring out any fresh sushi, or any fresh buffet items.
So, all and all, this was one of the most terrible chinese food experiences of my life. Do not eat here if you value your stomach lining (which may be scratched by metal shards in food) or your tastebuds.
GREAT FOOD!. This has been a favorite of my husband and I for along time. We have been going there as a family for a while. It's a huge place with a huge buffett. The dinner price is a bit much for everyday use but they do take out by the pound wich is an extremely good price. We eat there all of the time. Of course they don't have much of a variety other than chicken. My husband is unable to eat Chicken so he doesn't have too many choices but they have great Sushi and service.
Tam's was GREAT!!
We have two small children and they seated us in an area where there were more small children so that we wouldn't disturb other diners.
The buffet offered a TON of choices. And everything I tried was so good! The food was fresh and they kept everything well stocked.
We went on a weekend so we had the "dinner rate" of $7.99 but it was well worth it. My husband agreed that we have definitely found our solution of where to eat good Chinese food.
Oh... and my oldest (3 years old) keeps asking when we're going back!
