Great place. great place to eat if your in Dallas.
One of the worst Indian Restaurant. Mayuri is one of the worst restaurant I have eaten in US. The food is not fresh and is not prepared well. They also takes lot of time to serve. I will never go to this place again.
No need to head east to Dallas : Best Lunch Buffet. The practical Indian/American (almost came out American Indian!) dilemma - if the lunch buffet is so good, who's goes for dinner? WITHOUT Mayuri, once in awhile you have to have a fresh cooked a la carte dinner, where the spices and prep (and hopefully ambiance) just take you away and calms the exotic palette. Enter Mayuri, where the lunch buffet is delightful - fresh (maybe high turnover), and always seems to have at least two extra/more selections then the upscale-ish DFW competition. Proably a buck higher then second-best-buffet ( the Pasand's), but well worth it. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL INDIAN RESTAURANT !…
Never again!. I agree with other reviews about their take out orders. I recently ordered take out for about 20 people. When i went to pick it up(on time), most of the items were cold and didnot seem fresh. When I enquired politely, they were rude and suggested that it will be ok if i take it home and heat it!…
Good South Indian food - decent rates.
Mayuri is primarily a South Indian restaurant and to that extent, their south Indian offerings are good. I would strongly suggest staying away from their north Indian offerings, till the time you are
used to eating North Indian food cooked in South Indian way, with South Indian flavor and spices.
The buffet is a mess, since tons of people show up. Ordering from menu is the best option. With quite a few South Indian options around, Mayuri should actually drop its prices a little bit since they dont offer anything out of the ordinary. The whole experience of dining with them is simply average - from quality of food, to service to sitting arrangement to decor etc.
One major drawback is that during peak time, you can have a bunch of people sitting right next to you, and with no music being played, there is no privacy. You can also hear the clinkering noise of the forks and spoons etc.
Overall an average place to visit.…
