OMG! Get Combo number two!. YUMMY!!!!!! This place is one of those "hole in the wall" joints that you only find a few times in a life time. Make this one of yours. The service is fantastic and the food is fabulous! The tortillas are to die for and the bean and sheese nachos are terrific. The salsa is wonderful! The woman who owns the resturant is always there and everything seems to run under her watchful eye. We have been too many times to count. Maybe I'll go right now. . .

Tortilla Heaven. The menu at Tortillas Del Rancho isnt expansive, its actually the size of a pamphlet. However, all the basics are covered, especially dishes that highlight the tortillas. Chips and salsa arrived as soon as we were seated. The greaseless chips, fried from their corn tortillas, scooped up the thin but very fiery salsa and tied us over while we decided on our orders and waited for the food. The waiter also brought out two piping hot corn tortillas with butter. The corn tortillas were fluffy (so delightfully unexpected since most store bought corn tortillas are uniformly dense and thin) and slightly chewy.

We loved everything we ordered, including enchiladas potosinas, gorditas, barbacoa tacos, and guiso de puerco. Especially outstanding was the al pastor, tender strips of pork and very thin slices of onion smothered in a spicy red rub.

I'll definitely be back!
