The old community spirit is gone, and fees are hiding everywhere.. I was also a member when they were a credit union, over 12 years! Same experience as sjp24 - fees fees fees. When they switched from a not-for-profit credit union to a for-profit bank, the for-profit status certainly became a focus. I felt sorry for the employees actually. They watched as their institution changed around them and they had to talk to the irate members. Oops, I meant customers.

FYI: I switched back to a credit union, TexansCU (dot) org, and am quite happy. About to move my mortgage there too.

I wish it were still Community Credit Union. I have been a member of CCU for about 20 years. Loved it! Since they have changed to Viewpoint Bank I'm seeing a lot of fee's. A fee on savings accounts. Even a fee to get your account balance over the phone. I'm looking for another banking institution now.
