Uptown shop offers bridal gowns, plus bridesmaid and flower-girl dresses.
The sales associate gave me her full attention!
by 2010 bride
I went in on a Saturday during a trunk sale. The store was very busy with brides and their mothers/friends. The sales associate I worked with, Sharon, was just as sweet as can be. She was very attentive and let me try on probably 20 dresses. She took her time and made the experience special for me even though there was so much going on in the store. They were the only place that allowed me to snap a few photos of my favorite dresses. That was a definite plus for me as I like to go home and continue to look at it as I contemplate this major decision!
- Pros: They pay attention to you and treat you with respect.
- Cons: none that I experienced
POOR Customer Service

I stopped by the boutique on Wednesday, 10/1/08 at 1:00pm. I was extremely shocked when a sales associate who was assisting me with trying on wedding gowns when she relayed a message to me from the manager that I "could not try on anymore dresses, I had tried on more than I should have been allowed to, that I would be confused, I need to come back another day." I had tried on 6 different ones already and I still wanted to try on more to find "the dress". I was shocked! I was the only customer in the store at that time. I would have been more understandable if there was more people in the store. I have never been to any bridal shop yet who has told me that there was a limit on trying on gowns. Is there a policy that states that a customer has a limit on the number of dresses that they can try on?! I am very shocked and disappointed! What type of customer service is this!?
- Cons: Poor Customer Service
Told my cousin she could only try on six dresses.
by oomi
My cousin shopped at Lulu's for her wedding dress after reading the great reviews on Yelp. She tried on a few dresses before one of the store assistants told her -- for no good reason --
"I'm sorry, you've tried on six dresses already. That's too many dresses. You will have to come back another day if you want to try on more."
My cousin is one of the gentlest, nicest people you will ever meet. She was so embarrassed and insulted. I have never been to any clothing store with a policy that only allows you to try on six dresses. If there was such a policy it was not posted anywhere in the store. So my cousin left the store. The store assistant made her feel like she would not be able to afford the dresses there -- or as if she was not really considering a purchase.
When she told me about this, I was so mad that I had to write this review.
Your wedding dress is one of the most important purchases you will ever make in your entire life. I think women should be able to try on twenty, thirty dresses if they want to find the perfect dress.
I do not know the reasons why the store clerk would say what she said to my cousin, but I will call the store tomorrow and demand an explanation.
Until then, I just want people to know that they should not support a business establishment that is so unprofessional and discriminatory in their policies.
- Pros: Discriminatory, random unposted store policies
- Cons: Discriminatory, random unposted store policies against trying on too many dresses, insulting service
