Disappointing Bridesmaid Experience. My experience related to bridesmaid dresses. This happened almost a year ago, and we're still shocked over how we were treated. However, I know people who have purchased their wedding dress here and had wonderful experiences; maybe bridesmaid dresses aren't their forte.

We were a bridal party of four, and three of us had issues with our dresses:

1. Two bridesmaid dresses were ordered entirely too large for the girls. I understand that dresses are ordered according to the largest measurement, but these girls had to have their dresses taken in drastically all over, resulting in hundreds of dollars in alterations. They did admit their mistake with one of the dresses and refund part of the alterations.

2. I'm 5' 10'' which places me in the "tall" category and needing extra length added to my floor-length dress for an extra cost. However, this detail of the order was never placed (despite my dress costing more than all the others, which should have raised a red flag for the multiple people handling the order--why is she paying more?). So one month before the wedding, I try my dress on with the wedding shoes, and it is too short.

This is where the bad customer service reared it's ugly head. There was no sense of urgency about fixing their mistake (which they did admit was their mistake). With one month to go, they said they would call me in the next few days about a replacement dress and if it was possible to even get one in that short amount of time. I had to call repeatedly to finally get an answer, and was asked what I had decided on. When I informed them that I had not heard my options, they said the replacement dress would arrive five days before the wedding if I wished to order it. Deciding to not entrust them with any more of my wedding wardrobe since they proved unable to handle it, I decided to keep the original dress and purchase different, shorter shoes. They covered the cost of my alterations, which I appreciated.

3. Poor attitude: Every time we walked in (which I'm sure they dreaded), they were very flippant towards us and never seemed to have any idea as to the status of our order. I picked the dresses up the day before the wedding, and the woman in the front told me impatiently that I needed to make a reservation to have the dresses altered and she didn't know where they were. Would it have taken that much time to look our order up in the computer and see that we already had them altered, and they were waiting at the front for me to pick up? We were treated very patronizingly right up until the end, which left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

Wonderful Custimer Service! :). I live in Oklahoma, and I had looked at just about everything Tulsa had to offer, including Alfred Angelo's Davids Bridal, Alyssa's. My sister (my maid of honor) was going to Dallas for the weekend and invited me with to go dress shopping. She saw Lulu's advertised in The Knot, so we decided to go!

OMG! The shop was cute, small, and much better then any corporate owned bridal shop. Rose was my consultant and she blew me away! She had so much personality and spirit and never once gave me a fake complement just to get a sale!

She took one look at me and the dresses I had chosen and showed me a completely different look... That I LOVED!!

Definitely the best bridal shop i have ever been too! :)

Great Experience-Found my gown!. Before Lulu's I had tried on about 100 gowns and still hadn't been impressed. When I got to Lulu's I wasn't expecting to find anything there either. I had Lisa as my consultant. She very quickly picked up on my sense of style, my personality and what would best suit me. I was really shocked how well she pegged me. She looked over the dresses I had picked before we got started and she told me she had one for me...when she brought it in I thought it was too busy and didn't like it. After I put it on it was a whole other story. It was exactly what I had been looking for without even knowing it!! Great place-great experince AND-I was about $ 2000 under budget!!

Excellent experience. Lulu's has really left a wonderful impression on me. I began my search for the perfect dress in September 2009. Lulu's was the first place I went and they let me try on as many dresses as I wanted on a very busy Saturday! The sales associate, Sharon was so patient and helpful. She was not pushy or trying to convince me that the first few I tried on were enough. The other sales associates would come by to ooh and aah and always had kind words. I went to several other bridal boutiques in Dallas only to come back to Lulu's. They had many of the dresses I had seen elsewhere and the best customer service. I finally purchased a dress at Lulu's and it even arrived earlier than expected! I went to try it on and pick it up a few days ago. I had 3 different ladies who worked there helping me into it. The dress was gorgeous and they all made me feel very special. The veil I ordered was a shade too light and they said they would just reorder it - no problem! I have not yet had my dress altered as I am not yet ready, but I will return to Lulu's for that and I anticipate similar service.

The sales associate gave me her full attention!. I went in on a Saturday during a trunk sale. The store was very busy with brides and their mothers/friends. The sales associate I worked with, Sharon, was just as sweet as can be. She was very attentive and let me try on probably 20 dresses. She took her time and made the experience special for me even though there was so much going on in the store. They were the only place that allowed me to snap a few photos of my favorite dresses. That was a definite plus for me as I like to go home and continue to look at it as I contemplate this major decision!
