wow....
Well, I'm not a professional reviewer but I will try and write about a fantastic little spot I came across about a week ago. I was in the area and had just finished work and was starving. Not just hungry but really freakin starving. Needed to get my food groove going big time, that kind of hungry. Wasn't too familiar with the area and spotted a McDonalds resturant and thought some Scottish food would fill me up just right. Maybe some bangers and mash or some haggus. Now I was ready to get it on. Big time. My mouth was watering and my taste buds were like, "oh yeah bitch, bring it on!!"
Was freakin out at how crazy bright it was in this place. Thought they could really stand to cut down on the whole wasting of electricity stuff. But what the hell, I had some food to eat. Scanned the menu from the front counter, hmm, new one on me. Was expecting a server but I can live with this. OK, no bangers, no sheppards pie. Lotta burgers and soda. Maybe I mis-read the name cause I ain't seein no Scottish food.
Well, I was hungry and didn't want to drive anywhere else so I just said screw it and asked the girl at the front counter how the filet-o-fish were today. She repied "huh, oh dat sheet. Man, I wouldn't touch that sheet today, they took that sheet out of the freezer this mornin an I was like, DAMN, that mess stinks!!!!!". I said thanks for the heads up on that and asked her what she might recommend to which she replied "sheet, i dunno. Just get a damn big mac. Everybody get a big mac. Why you askin me?! Get what you want!" Big mac it is then!
The taste was phenomonal. Out of this world. Just the right amount of flavor/texture. It was like meat flavored candy. As far as food goes, this was a work of art. I savored every moment, smiling at each soft chewy bite. The fries were also incredible. Salty to a fault, but who don't dig a load of salt on their food! For drink I chose a dr pepper and have to say, this was just what the dr. ordered. wow. This was a meal.
If I were going to be executed and had to choose one last meal on Earth this would not be it but it was really good. Just not last-meal-on-Earth good. More like I-don't -have-much-money or I'm-drunk-on fri-night good.
Will I go back? Yes. Aside from having crazy diarrhea when I got home(ALMOST in my pants!) it was still a great time for me. A treasured memory that I will carry in the recesses of my mind. Next time I'm tryin that filet-o-fish though...
