The Sound and Ambiance is Nice, But the Sauce.....
Since I love BBQ, I went there on my birthday hoping to slide this location as the No.1 BBQ spot in Dallas, but I was wrong.
We walked in and John Lee Hooker's In The Mood was playing which quickly put a smile on my face, then you notice the Hickory smell in the air and you want to know who is manning the pit. I jumped right in an order the Sweet Tea which was good and then I ended up with this perplexed look on my face for I did not know what to order so I went for the waiter's suggestion and got the platter and boy it started out alright until I tasted the "warm" potato salad with the skins in it....not my cup of tea since I'm from Louisiana.
Overall the service was great, the sounds were good but I have had better BBQ than this.
Sorry...…
so so. The place is ok maybe for a family outing but not if you want any real Kansas City, Memphis or N. Carolina style BBQ.
Good BBQ, I like Texas style better but it is good to mix it up. Red Hot & Blue has good BBQ. It is Memphis style I believe. I prefer Texas BBQ but it is good to mix it up a little bit. I give it an average grade because of my preference for Texas style, average service and depending on what you get it can get a little pricy compared to other BBQ joints. All is all, it is a place I would say you should try and you might love it, lots of folks do, or at least stop in a couple times a year for something different.…
Great wet ribs. Wet ribs, dry ribs, banana pudding....it's all excellent. Even the sweet biscuits they bring you are great. Everything is great, nothing is bad. They're wet ribs are so good.....let?s just say that my fingers have never tasted this good. The meat just fell right off the bone. They even have the sweet ribs and yes those were good too.…
Editorial Review. Authentic barbeque using hickory logs, low temperatures and long cooking times with top quality meats and ingredients.
