In Short – After ordering at the counter, patrons sit either in the large dining room or on the even larger patio featuring picnic tables with umbrellas. This is a larger version of its predecessor Aw Shucks on Greenville. The menu is Cajun seafood, emphasizing crab-leg platters, hush puppies, boiled shrimp and raw oysters. Just like Aw Shucks, the bill is on the honor system; customers tell the cashier what they ordered when paying.
Not so fresh crawfish
by Helen321
I ordered the crawfish since the reviews were good on here. Half of the crawfish I ordered were not fresh what so ever. The other half was overboiled so the meat was alot softer then I normally eat. I usually get my crawfish at Boiling Crab which hands down is the best crawfish in Dallas but figured I'd give other places a try. I definitely regret my decision in going to Big Shucks. Also, I ordered the fried oysters, Those were okay, but nothing too great. I've had way better at other places. The fries that come with it are not so great either.
- Pros: Nothings
- Cons: Everything I ordered
A Nice Find

Big Shucks is very casual. If the weather is warm one might easily imagine being on a sunny coastal beach. The food is excellent as is the service. Don't miss a shrimp cocktail served in a tall glass.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Casual, Fast
