In Short – Tucked in a suburban shopping center near the Tollway, this intimate salon-spa focuses on service, not decor. Available are essential and exotic services, like Yuko hair straightening and ear-candling. Men interested in exploring the spa experience may try the "backcial": the facial procedure applied to the back and popular with tentative clients. Also popular are spa packages, such as the Ultimate Indulgence: body polish, body wrap, one-hour massage, manicure, pedicure, facial and lunch.

Read the release form if you have microdermabrasion.

I wanted to get a facial to start off my birthday weekend with a relaxing treatment. I had a 4:30 appointment, called because I was running 5 minutes behind. I arrived at 4:35 and didn't enter the room until 4:45. I didn't mind the wait...I needed to relax anyways. While she was washing my face during the facial, I mentioned to her that i needed some extraction around my lips and chin. She mentioned microdermabrasion (a term i know, but am not familiar with). She explained that it was exfoliation of my face and it doesn't hurt. After washing my face, she started the microdermabrasion. It wasn't comfortable, felt like a cat scratching my face and I asked her if my face would be red, she said for only an hour or so. That took a long time, I would say 20-25 minutes. After that, my face was burning and very dry. She put some lotion on my face and that was it. There was no massage involved (like the description says online) and she was very rough. It was not at all relaxing. After I got dressed, she came back into the room and showed me the release form so I could know what to expect the next few days. If I would have read that before the treatment, I would have never done it. And my symptons were much worse. My face was burning and red for 3 days. On the 3rd day, my face peeled and was very dry. She never mentioned this would happen and I was very dissappointed in the service. It took over a week for my face to be back to normal (not dry and peeling). I have spoke with others that have had this treatment done and they have never experienced this. From entering the spa to walking out, it was one hour. I have had many facials and I really felt taken advantage of at this spa and will never return.
- Pros: location, parking, aveda products
- Cons: service, cluttered, small, noisy
