Incredible menu and reasonable prices.
I have been to the Plano Tavern several times and have never had a bad meal. Try the spinach artichoke dip before your meal. The chicken pasta and meatloaf are both out of this world. The steaks and prime rib are perfectly done. I have always gotten good service here too.
The only negative about the Plano Tavern is that unless you pace your server, your food might arrive too fast. I don't order my main course until the appetizer is on the table. The servers are very good about slowing the food down if you ask them though.

New concept from company behind Steak & Ale and Bennigan's goes for a more upscale menu and atmosphere in Plano..
In Short
This sibling to Southlake Tavern shares its brick and hardwood interior, plus 17 flat-screen TVs for the sports-bar crowd. The menu has a broad, all-purpose functionality but is dominated by American classics: Angus steaks, pork chops, burgers, ribs, chicken, and meat loaf. Side dishes entice, including regular french fries enhanced by a sweet-potato version for a twist. Salads come in generous portions; leave room for desserts such as chocolate fondue with fruit and cake for dipping.

Great food and atmosphere.
Friendly staff, good food and lively atmosphere. Great place to watch sports. Great cold beer. They say the coldest in town!
