Best pizza in town! – For Citysearch: Besa's Pizza is one of the best I've tried. There's something about it that is just addicting. Ever since I tried it, I keep on coming back.
Great Food – Love everything about this place, make sure you ask for the homemade Italian butter during dinnertime!
Besa's Pizza & Pasta - Very Nice – May 13, 2011, my first visit. We were looking for Italian BYOB restaurant. If you're only interested in atmosphere, this ain't it. But, the food was very good, wait service - outstanding, friendliness - over the top. You feel welcomed and appreciated from the moment you walk in the door. Never pushy of felt rushed. . . . And NO CORKAGE FEE!! Definitely need to bookmark this place as a favorite.
Best Pizza in Dallas – I've never tried anything on the menu besides the pizza. If you go in and have one slice of their amazing pizza, you won't want to try anything else. There are only a handful of really good pizza places in North Dallas - one in Plano, and the one in Addison Circle's not bad, but Besa's is the real deal.
If you're wanting delicious New York style pizza, you won't find a better place within 15 miles (not that I've found anyway).
Good Food! – I've always had a good experience dining here. Their food is great, and the service has always been up to par! I go here atleast once or twice a month!
Bad experience - manager/owner lost a lifetime of business – We were dining with a group of 18 people Saturday 8/21/10. I had ordered Chicken Parmigiana from the menu. When it arrived, I started to eat it, and it was tough and chewy. Every other time I had eaten there, the chicken was tender and tasty. I asked the waiter if I could get a fresh dish made up or speak to the manager. He said ok, but the manager did not appear until after the whole party had finished their meals (20-30 minutes later). His excuse was he was busy or was away from the restaurant.
This sounds like other similar bad experience reviews here.
When the manager did come over and asked what was wrong, I told him. His response was (paraphrased) "we have sold this same dish many times tonight, nobody else has complained, there is nothing wrong with the food." I asked if he could take it off the bill. (too late to make a new dish by now) He said no, not his problem. Furthermore, he said I should have told him after the first taste (well I did try, but he was busy or out of the restaurant!) He threatened to call the police if I didn't pay the bill.
His wife added (paraphrased) "if you don't like the food, go somewhere else." Wow, they definitely didn't pass customer service101.
Not a good experience, they were rude and not willing to make it right for a long-time customer. I won't be going there again or recommending to my friends, despite having had good experience and food there for the past 5 years.
It's a shame, because the food is generally good, but there are other places we will go to now. Even worse for the owner - we have spent several hundred dollars in the past, and the groups of friends we dine with have spent similar amounts. That future business is GONE! He doesn't realize that for a few dollars (his cost) he could have kept a loyal customer plus all of our friends we dine with. We're taking our money elsewhere. In a challenging economy, you work extra hard to please loyal customer, not tell them to go somewhere else.
Bottom line, hope your food comes out tasty and cooked the first time. If it isn't, it will be your fault!
Favorite Pizza in Dallas – Yum. I know of no better pizza in Dallas. Meatball sub is also a favoraite.
best pizza in DFW- Period! – We have been wanting to try out this place for a while now. This past Saturday we finally did. I was actually mad at myself for not having gone there earlier! Their pizza is to die for, definitely the best in DFW and probably among my top 5 overall (including but not limited to pizzas in L.A., NY, Chicago, France, Germany, ITALY etc.): great crust, amazing cheese, not too much sauce, great (and generous) toppings.... We actually ordered way more than we could eat that night, so we had the leftovers for dinner the next day. EVEN AS REHEATED LEFTOVERS THIS PIZZA EASILY BEAT ANY OTHER PLACE HERE IN DALLAS!!!
Don't waste your time W/the bad reviews, cause ITS THE BEST! – Hey people! Dont waste you time reading the not so nice reviews, cause they aren't true! Besa's Italian food is literally some of the best Italian that you can get outside of ITALY and/or NYC! This family-owned restaurant is full of some of the most lovely, honest, respectful hard working, people i have ever met...and you can taste it in the food! They have perfected all of their menu items, and the fast and friendly waitstaff really have it down pat! Besa's is perfect for a cozy date-night or for a family get-together. I always leave happy, satisfied, full, and with pleanty of leftovers to hold me off till i have to come back for MORE! :)
