Editorial Review for The Melting Pot – by Cindy Locke

In Short
Booths equipped with tabletop fondue pots are clustered together inside an intimate dining room. Start with a cheese fondue, including an assortment of breads, veggies and fruits for dipping. Entrees include lobster, centercut filet, fish, chicken and selections served with a variety of dipping sauces. For dessert, try the flaming turtle, a mix of chocolate and caramel flambeed tableside, served with nut-covered marshmallows, fresh fruit, pound cake, brownies and cheesecake.

My husband and I decided to try something new on our way back from the city. We passed the restaurant a few times prior and thought we would give it a try. Boy were we glad we did! Eating fondue was a new experience for the both of us, and we loved it! We thought it was interesting (and intimidating) that we cooked our own food. My husband and I got the Surf and Turf and it was fantastic! (A little nervous with cooking seafood and steak, but we did it fine.) The wine list was very impressive, and I endulged on a few glasses of merlot. We loved the cheese fondue with the bread, veggies and apples before hand. The dinner was so delicious, we decided to splurge on dessert (pricey but worth it). When our server brought out a huge tray of brownies, cheesecake, marshmallows and strawberries we were over the moon! We ordered the milk chocolate for dipping. So wonderful!! I highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful dinner on a special occasion!

Pros: Atmosphere, service, food, wine and dessert!

Cons: That I cannot go there tonight.
