Editorial Review for Granada Theater – by Jeff Speicher
In Short
With a WWII feel and design, the Granada once premiered movies like "Ben Hur." Today, a symphony of gobo lights and billowing fog enhance performances by local and regional bands in this cozy performance venue. Walls are adorned with murals of movie icons from years gone by. A handful of concertgoers get a bird's-eye view from a small balcony, while others munch on pizza and tacos.

Sound is good, stage and floor are designed so all can see which is a huge plus if you get in late or are short. Solid beer selection as well, a good place for a show. Two questions, why is the parking so expensive, and what's with the advertising on large screen TV's? sort of obnoxious.
Pros: Acts, Stage, Beer, Overall venue
Cons: large screen tv's, parking cost

Movie theater architecture makes for great live music, but not even close to the atmosphere at Fort Worth's Ridglea Theater. Bigger acts, though, with bigger ticket prices, of course. PARKING is $8 (eight) DOLLARS. They don't mention this in ads or by phone. Don't park yourself! Towing is Big Business all down Greenville Ave! Parking is Fiercely guarded by all businesses and Residents! And crime IS a Consideration.
Pros: Good acts, Great sound
Cons: Parking - take a taxi!
