I've eaten at King Kabob for easily the last 8-9 years. They have great koobideh. Prices aren't as good as a Kasra's buffet but, I actually like the kabob better. The place is a bit small and frankly the seating is uncomfortable. However the food for me far out weighs the bench seating. This is a quiet restaurant and the staff emphasize that. They take your order and bring it to you, and refill your drinks as needed. Several years ago I will say that I thought some of the more "regular" people that came in were shady using the place as a "front" the service and ownership changed during this time I believe. That has since changed for the better and I love it again. In fact I'm going today
Wonderful Persian food.
I've eaten at King Kabob's many times, and I've always had great service and great food. I've had most of the menu, and it's all wonderful. Its not the very cheapest, but the quality is always excellent. I've eaten at many middle-eastern restaurants in the Plano and Richardson area, and King Kabob is among the best. I've brought many guests there, and they always love it, too. The atmosphere is great. It is a fairly small, intimate place, so probably not suitable for the corporate party. But for a small group its great. Try it - you'll be back.
I suspect some of the other reviewers are astro-turf rather than grass-roots, particularly since they mention some other place that's supposedly better.
The worst food I had in a long time.. This is the worst food I had in a long time. The meats were dry and tasteless. The rates were expensive for the kind of downmarket place that it was.
The best Kabob in town.
The best Kabob in town, best fresh ingredients!....the price is great too.
If you are not looking for quality or care about what to eat go to Sahara or any other Persian restaurant that are nothing but average and cheap. Also at King Kabob you can Byob.
Not the quality and quantity for the price. It's very expensive for the quality and quantity that you get. The staff is the most non professional that you can find and they charge to you for everything. Thanks God they don't charged me for the air I breath. No I do not recomend this restaurant. There is one close to Monttford st Sahara's that's the best of the best
Prompt seating. Prompt seating because no one goes here. Staff is not very accommodating. You'd be better off at Fadi's unless you're just looking for a plate of overpriced rice.
Editorial Review. Dishing a variety kabobs and specialty coffees in a casual atmosphere in Plano.
Good Kabobs in the neighborhood.
This location is convinient and the food is ok, but if you don't mind driving a little farther to other Persian restaurants in Dallas or Richardson, I say do it.
The kabobs taste good, but not for $10-$11 for ground beef. At this price you can get all you can eat kabob almost anywhere else for less $. Its very quiet and little too boaring.
What a Hidden Treasure. I picked this location because it's BYOB. But I was so pleased when the quality of the food was amazing! Fresh, delicious, and low fat. I had the Salmon and it was fantastic. Only drawback, it's kind of far-- Coit and Springcreek (next to the starbucks). Oh and it is a small place, not good for a large party. Don'y forget your own favorite bottle of vino!
