I hired them to paint 10 new interior
doors, which had been ordered already primed, and they did an absolutely horrible job, to the point of needing to be completely redone. The owner made an appt. with me to come look at the doors and no showed. After 2 weeks he promised to get two new guys out there to do the job right, and sent the same two guys, who continued to ruin the job. When asked, they said they had never used oil based paint before, and were not trained. They had to leave. He promised me he would be out himself to do the job, and he no showed again.
I have found this individual to be extremely irresponsible, and unprofessional. He was given 5 chances to make this right, and sabataged each one of them. He is taking no responsiblilty, so at this point I will be taking him to court. My doors will have to all be resanded, all paint taken of the new hardware, and then repainted. My suggestion to anyone thinking of using this company is to save your money, and time, and use someone professional. He will end up costing me an enormous amount of money to redo, and I will have to fight him in court for the cost. It has been a horrible experience for me.
Steer clear of them. No Show.No Call for the original appointment and also for the re-scheduled appointment. They don't even have the basic business sense to inform you they they are not coming.
I thought I'd hire a professional to ensure work was done right...boy did I bark up the wrong tree with these guys! I had 4 old wooded windows that needed to be fixed. I was promised "they will be like new'. When he finished I took a look at the first three which looked nice and to my great regret assumed forth was done right as well. After days of sending pictures and phone calls which went ignored I was told that was what I wanted...in what universe??!!! Apparently the 1 year warranty is just a little joke. So...I tore down the scrap of thin, crooked wood that was stapled to one side of window and fixed it myself with about $20 in supplies and an hour or so of my time. I called back and left message that I was demanding a partial refund for shoddy work or would post bad reviews on Monday. He called back leaving me a message that I had made "terroristic threats and defamation of character" and that his lawyers would have a field day with this. I have stepped through the gates of hell via Handyman Connection. Please heed my warnings and look elsewhere for help.
Beware. Price Gouging!. Groupon had a discount deal so I called them for an estimate to do some framing & drywall work. They estimated $900 for labor. When I asked the handyman if that was the best they could do and if it was a good price, he said he would normally charge $1250 since it would take 32 man hours of work (16 hours each for two guys). I later got estimates from three other handymen who all told me it should take 4-6 hours for one guy and cost $300-$600 + materials. I gave handyman connection a chance to correct their pricing. It took 2 phone calls a day for three days to get a response from the Manager Jessica; she offered me $100 off. I got the work done with Home Pro Services and it totaled $520 with materials. Be leary Handyman Connection.
