In Short – Dark hardwood floors, formal tables, straight-back chairs and a friendly waitstaff greet patrons of this authentic Irish pub and restaurant. Menu options are plentiful and include lamb stew, corned beef and cabbage, and shepherd's pie. Draft beers from Europe, whiskey from Ireland, Scotland and America, world-renowned wines, and locally famous coffee (with or without alcohol) are offered. Smoking is allowed only on the grand patio outdoors.
Most authentic Irish pub around
by drewtal
Trinity Hall is the most authentic Irish pub in Dallas. I like some of the less authentic ones better but Trinity Hall is still good. The less authentic ones are often just regular bars with some Irish decor, an Irish name and Guinness on tap, but I still like them. But if you are looking for a properly served Black and Tan, just go straight to Trinity Hall.
- Pros: Most authentic
- Cons: Not quite as fun as some of the others
Best Atmospher, Best Customer Service, Best Beer, Outstanding Food
by nmayfiel
This is a wonderful place. The management and waitstaff are outstanding. They continually go out of their way to assure that the customer is comfortable, happy, and satisfied. They have an amazing beer and whiskey selection. The food is always good. I particularly love the smoke free atmosphere. It is a great place to get together with friends or to simply relax. On the first three Tuesday of every month they have tastings. The 1st is whiskey, the 2nd is beer, and the 3rd is wine. If there is a 4th there is often a bonus tasting. It is a great way to try new things, learn about the offerings, and make new friends.
Clean Air!

I have to say that the most refreshing thing about this pub is that it's not filled with smoke. We went on a Wednesday night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The crowd was a nice mix of older and younger people. The place has a very warm feeling, largely because of the heavy use of wood in the decor. Very cozy.
The beer list is incredible, though a bit pricey. We had the queso and the fish and chips. The fish was excellent with a batter that didn't act as a sponge for the oil it was fried in. Nice and crisp with good fries. The queso was very "white bread", if you'll excuse the expression. It was plain but good with lots of little chopped tomato mixed in. I loved the idea of the flight of three 6 oz draft beers for less than $6.00. But, I was so full after the meal that I couldn't manage it.
There are no happy hour specials. And it's not a quiet place by any means. In fact, the first time I tried to visit I turned around and walked out because a World Cup game was on the big screen and it was extremely loud. But, on a Wednesday night, with no major sporting events, it was just fine. I think I'm going to go back early in the day on a weekend and try the Irish breakfast. Sounds good to me!
- Pros: No smoking indoors. Big patio for smoking outside.
- Cons: No happy hour.
