In Short
Dark hardwood floors, formal tables, straight-back chairs and a friendly waitstaff greet patrons of this authentic Irish pub and restaurant. Menu options are plentiful and include lamb stew, corned beef and cabbage, and shepherd's pie. Draft beers from Europe, whiskey from Ireland, Scotland and America, world-renowned wines, and locally famous coffee (with or without alcohol) are offered. Smoking is allowed only on the grand patio outdoors.

This is a wonderful place. The management and waitstaff are outstanding. They continually go out of their way to assure that the customer is comfortable, happy, and satisfied. They have an amazing beer and whiskey selection. The food is always good. I particularly love the smoke free atmosphere. It is a great place to get together with friends or to simply relax. On the first three Tuesday of every month they have tastings. The 1st is whiskey, the 2nd is beer, and the 3rd is wine. If there is a 4th there is often a bonus tasting. It is a great way to try new things, learn about the offerings, and make new friends.

I have to say that the most refreshing thing about this pub is that it's not filled with smoke. We went on a Wednesday night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The crowd was a nice mix of older and younger people. The place has a very warm feeling, largely because of the heavy use of wood in the decor. Very cozy. The beer list is incredible, though a bit pricey. We had the queso and the fish and chips. The fish was excellent with a batter that didn't act as a sponge for the oil it was fried in. Nice and crisp with good fries. The queso was very "white bread", if you'll excuse the expression. It was plain but good with lots of little chopped tomato mixed in. I loved the idea of the flight of three 6 oz draft beers for less than $6.00. But, I was so full after the meal that I couldn't manage it. There are no happy hour specials. And it's not a quiet place by any means. In fact, the first time I tried to visit I turned around and walked out because a World Cup game was on the big screen and it was extremely loud. But, on a Wednesday night, with no major sporting events, it was just fine. I think I'm going to go back early in the day on a weekend and try the Irish breakfast. Sounds good to me!

This is probably the friendliest public house in Dallas. If you want a sports pub, with football (that's soccer) and of course RUGBY, then you found it here. If you want good food and probably the best rib eye in town, then you found it here. If you want a great atmosphere with paneling and faux-Irish/British furnishings, then you found it here. But you can have a great place that's not worth visiting if you can't get served? The waiters and waitresses are THE BEST. Friendly, attentive, prompt and willing to go that extra mile. I've been to one or two pubs in my time, some in Britain, some in Ireland, but my vote is that this is the best pub in Dallas. The Irish whiskeys are the best and varied. Drop by for a visit, you'll be glad that you did. P.S. if you think that a pub should have DARTs, this one has one as big as a train! Its a DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) train that stops at Mockingbird Station. 8 minutes from downtown Dallas! Up the elevator from the train platform and next to the cinema. ENJOY. PROS: Attentive to the customer, food, and beverage. CONS: Can't think of any cons....
