Best Cajun Food in Texas!. My husband and I tried Frillys tonight right off of I35E in Denton (from Corinth exit for Loop 288 on Right). We were both VERY impressed with the atmosphere, service and food! The service was very good. The atmosphere was very comfortable. And the food was absolutely awesome. My husband had the Shrimp Brochette. It is cheese and jalepeno stuffed shrimp that is bacon wrapped. I had the Salmon St Charles. It had a wonderful cream sauce with crab and crawfish over a wonderfully grilled piece of salmon. It was a definite treat for the tastebuds! We also got bread and hushpuppies. I had the hushpuppies and they were awesome. They had a small amount of jalepenos inside. Not too much to make it spicy but just enough to give it flavor. I cannot remember eating cajun food that was this good since I lived with a cajun family in Lake Charles, Louisiana many years ago. If you want down home cajun cooking, a comfortable atmosphere and nice service then I highly recommend trying Frillys. They also have a restraunt off of University over by the Women's University. Great Cajun food in Denton. On business trip in Denton and someone recommended Frilly's for good Cajun food. Restaurant stands alone just a block off W University Drive. Make sure to Mapquest the location or use your GPS if you are from out of town. Atmosphere inside seems very authentic and is pleasant. You order at the counter and they bring you your food once it is done. Seat yourself. Menu offers all the standard Cajun dishes from alligator to gumbo. Had the special of blackened fish with garlic and shrimp cream sauce over dirty rice. Absolutely delicious! Serving size a little small if you are used to the chain restaurants. Employees all very friendly. On Wednesday night it seemed to be mostly families there. I would highly recommend Frilly's to both visitors and locals.…
