Tips for Maggiano's

Family-friendly restaurant serves up enormous portions of southern Italian favorites in a nostalgic setting.. In Short
Family-style portions and red-checkered tablecloths create a casual, congenial vibe, drawing families and large groups to this feast of Italian-American nostalgia set to a Sinatra soundtrack. The made-from-scratch menu is brimming with traditional dishes, from starters like fried calamari, Parmesan garlic bread and Tuscan-style mussels to spaghetti with meatballs and manicotti with chicken and spinach. For those with room to spare, a piece of sweet tiramisu and a strong cappuccino help finish the meal.

The Best Italian Food in Plano. My family loves Maggiano's. The food is always fresh and hot. We are a noisy bunch and blend in with the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. My husband and I love the Calamari and the kids love the Crispy Zucchini. (YUM!) When family comes in from out of town we head straight to Maggiano's for family style dining. Every one leaves full and we have lunch the next day too! Our favorites include the chopped salad ( a must have), Rigatoni "D", and the tenderloin. For dessert you have to try the Cheesecake and Tiramisu!

The Food Was Absolutely Awful. 3 of us went. Very busy but seated quick enough. The appetizers were fabulous and we were excited to get our entrees. Then once the entrees arrived...more than disappointed. The tomato sauce tasted like Chef Boyardee, the Marsala sauce tasted like thin beef boullion, the veal way dry in one dish (how do you dry out veal in Veal Parmigiana???) and rubber in another, but the chicken was not much better. 2 of the meals got little more than 1 or 2 bites taken out of them they were so bad and the third was barely passable (and I am talking like McDonalds passable) so we essentially split it and left it at that. As for service, they were EXTREMELY busy but the service was great and the manager took the two dishes we did not eat off of our ticket and promised that he would check the kitchen personally.
