In Short – Mi Cocina has grown to local chain cult status. The Irving location features a clean, modern decor and about 50 tables, which often yields a wait because of the chain's substantial popularity. Food ranges from a lively Caldo Xochitl, a chicken consommé, to sweet and tender pork tamales. The portions aren't huge, the appetizers typically serving two, and the food is super-fresh, so expect to leave without the tortilla chip guilt.

Best Margaritas anywhere!
by nursenan
We have been customers for about 7 years. Our first experience was at the Skillman/Kingsley location. It's still my favorite. We have been to Legacy, Campbell, and other locations. When they are busy, yes, it's slow getting a table, but worth the wait. The chips are crisp, never greasy, the salsa is just right, and we have tried many items on the menu. The tacos de brisket are my hands-down favorite, with the cilantro rice and the avocado salad. And, in my opinion they make the best Margaritas on-the-rocks around- except for my daughter's margaritas!. We have entertained friends from out of town and from across the pond and they all are impressed with the food and the quiet, unassuming service. Thanks, Mi Cocina!!!
