The Scene – The attractive, well-dressed clientele along with the upscale decor immediately derail the efforts of Tom Tom management that bills this Pan-Asian restaurant as "the kind of place you might pop into on the streets of any Asian town." The busy main dining area (with a standard open kitchen/sushi bar) and a separate, smaller dining area are fitted with Chinese box lighting, burgundy banquette booths, tables for two and honey-blonde floors. A small bar sports a couple of TVs. – – The Food – The Tom Tom sushi roll and crispy wrapped prawns kicked things off…
Awesome Asian Food

I was astonished to read the review by fireman77. I am a frequent patron of Tom Toms and my food has always been superior and the service very accommodating. The Pad Thai is actually one of my favorite dishes on the menu, so it puzzles me to read such a negative comment. Another favorite of mine is the Chargrilled Beef Tenderloin. The meat just melts in your mouth and the curry sauce has a very pleasing balance of sweetness and spiciness. Of course, I always leave room for dessert, especially the Hot Cheesecake and Chocolate Sake Truffles. If you have never been to Tom Tom's, you need try it!! I promise, you will not be disappointed.
- Pros: Very diverse menu
- Cons: None
Awesome Asian Fusion!!!

After doing my research online and seeing all the positive reviews (all but one that read like a disgruntled employee or a jealous competitor), I thought I would give "Tom Tom's" a try. I started with the Mango Sake Pork Ribs and was instantly in heaven. I found out they just started a $1 Rib Night on Tuesdays, so trust me I will become a Tuesday night regular. Then I shared the Szechuan Beef, Vegetable Fried Rice (we added chicken), and the Chargrilled Beef Tenderloin. I was once again delighted. The Fried Rice was the best ever (not greasy like most Asian restaurants). I thought the wide noodles were a nice touch to the Szechuan Beef, and my taste buds were tingling with the incredible flavor of the Chargrilled Beef Tenderloin. Of course we had to order dessert, so we followed one of the online recommendations and ordered the cheesecake. OMG X 3!!! This is the best dessert EVER!!! I will definitely be going back to Tom Tom's and bring my friends. This was truly a dining experience!
- Pros: Very Affordable!
Tom tom = bland bland or in this case...salty salty

Ordered the Beef Chow Fun. Beef flat noodles. I wish it came with rice, because it was a salt bomb. I appreciate the outdoor dining, and the open kitchen, but this type of cuisine is really catered towards the american palate. My date ordered the pad thai, and the sauce thrown on it was the sweet and sour chicken sauce. There was nothing pad thai about it. Mostly noodles and no other ingredients. The Beef Chow Fun @ First Chinese in Richardson is 10x better. Anyway, we were still hungry and so disappointed that we ended up getting sweet potato fries next door @ Village Burger.
- Pros: Ambience, open kitchen...
- Cons: Should be called "Haam haam" Sr. Jose cooking instead of Mr. Chow Yung Fat. Not really authentic
