This place is right out of a classic movie: singing piano player and saxophonist; dark woods and plush leather seating; grown-up patrons having quiet conversations and stiff drinks; staff dressed in tidy uniforms... all one in of Dallas' coolest neighborhoods, Oak Lawn, and luxurious hotels, the Melrose. Drinks are reasonably priced, too. Closest thing I can think of is the Driskill Hotel on Austin's 6th Street. It's small but that's what makes it so comfy.
- Pros: Elegant, cozy and relaxing atmosphere; a place where you can actually enjoy a drink.
