Tips for Moon Wok Restaurant

December 04, 2012

The food has no flavor whatsoever!!! I ordered for first time this evening and I won't be back. The combination fried rice and chicken lo mein had no taste. It felt like I was eating a giant bowl of white rice with no salt on it. Ton's Chinese tast way better! I was SO disppointed! We wasted $23 tonight. Terrible. I am not chinese and I could do a lot better than this. Even the nursing home people would protest.

Healthy,Clean and Delicious. I read some of the reviews given by other about this restaurant, I feel they're inaccurate. Their business is really really good. I originally have my own restaurant but my whole family have been ordering from them for years, whenever when we order chinese food becuase from a professional perspective i can say that it is being supervised under a very responsible owner. The place is very tidy and clean, the food is always fresh and contain the best ingredients, and the food is DELICIOUS!. My mind is at ease when I order from them because I know that they are going to cook it in a way that is super healthy. since their business is really good, they recently open a chain store that is 20 minutes away from this one @ 8670 Skillman Street, Dallas, TX

BEWARE. I have been ordering from Moon Wok for many years but tonight for the second time....they lied. They claim to use all white meat chicken in their dishes but before I ordered I asked three times if the General Tso's chicken was white meat and I was told definitely "Yes." When my order arrived, it definitely was NOT! I understand needing to cut corners in this economy but to blatantly LIE is ridiculous. Customers BEWARE!! If they lie about their chicken...who knows what other "meats" their lying about!

Delicious and inexpensive food. Very happy with the food and the service. The cashiers and servers were nice and always happy to give me whatever help I needed.

As for charging more, Moon Wok has never charged me more for tip than I decide to give, even when I don't give any at all. I have had a credit card problem with them before, but I was assured that it is a pending transaction and the overcharge mistake is the credit card company's fault. And as they said, the charge cleared up within a few days and I was charged the amount I agreed to.

Sometimes the wait for food is long, if it's a busy hour, but that's to be expected from a restaurant that makes the food after you order it.

Price is great and portions are always huge. I think you can share 1 order with 2 people. If you have leftovers you can always take it home. :)

I have had the hunan chicken (lots of different types of veggies & yummy chicken), lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken. All of it is very good. :) I do have to say that the fried rice that comes for free with the dishes doesn't have meat or veggies in it, so I actually prefer the steam rice.

I don't know about delivery, but I like ordering it over the phone and then picking it up so I can avoid waiting for the food during the busier hours (around 6-8pm).

Overall, I would recommend this place for great food for a low price. :)

Wok, Wako?. I recently ordered delivery from this place as i do at least once a week. but this time they had bad service and bad management. they forgot to give me a sauce for my meal so i asked for sauce or a credit on the delivery since Im out of range. Well I talked to Jim, the manager aka Delivery Natzi, and he refused to credit the delivery fee. he asked me to take the meal back and the he would credit the error that they made. in the end the food is not bad, but the service is third world. And for those of you who are wondering they are not in the mo beta bidness bewra, so what does that tell you about the place. So the lesson here dot run your business like a Delivery Natzi. this guy was ready to jackie chan my booty over the phone. gosh!
