Dallas >Lee Harvey's
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Worst staff and customer service ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a Good Way to Treat a Customer.
I used to recommend Lee Harvey's to people, but I definitely won't be anymore. What they did to me was not cool, and technically illegal. But hey, who's going to sue over a free meal and drink, right? Of course not! Instead, customers who have been wronged can tell their story in reviews, and hopefully Lee Harvey's has a cool owner who will read this and apologize.
So I won a contest they had for a free drink and entree, but they gave the prize to someone else based on a rule that was not posted or referenced anywhere (I looked, and they couldn't offer any evidence either). Imagine the excitement of winning something for free and then having them make up a rule and give it to someone else! I was shocked, but I thought, "hey, they're a cool place, they'll make this right." So I immediately brought their mistake to their attention, but their reply did not acknowledge their mistake or attempt to remedy it. Quite the opposite, actually. Then a piece of the evidence that I had won *mysteriously* disappeared from their web page so it looked like I hadn't won. There's no way to know if Lee Harvey's or someone else did this, but it just made the whole situation look that much more shady.
The free food/drink I won isn't important anymore. I just hope the person who was representing Lee Harvey's to me before wasn't the owner, and that the owner will admit they did something wrong and show good enough customer service to remedy their mistake. I gave the original person a lot of opportunity to do that before I posted this but they didn't take it. They turned the whole situation into one where a former customer doesn't want to go to Lee Harvey's again and is telling her friends not to go either.
Great Margaritas!!!. My first time ever in Dallas and my friend takes me this Dive bar its like all other dive bars but Lee's has fire pits outside and really good margaritas!! now im not sure if it was the plane ride and lack of eating all day but the margaritas where tasty
With comfortable outdoor seating and homey wooden interior, this dive on the outskirts of downtown creates a neighborhood atmosphere..
In the glow of colorful lights draped over the de-barbed-wire fence, patrons relax on the porch of this historic-house-turned-bar or at a picnic table on the lawn. A homey aura turns near-nostalgic inside due to vinyl couches, a Pac-Man arcade and antique beer signs. Whether eating a quesadilla at the all-wooden bar or listening to live music or DJs, patrons enjoy this down-home alternative to glitzy clubs.
A Place time forgot!.
I would like to start out by saying I have read the previous reviews and for me this is more of a trip down memory lane rather than a review. You see, my grandfather (Allen) and grandmother (Ruby) opened that bar or at that time it was called Tesch's B-Que, in the 1950's. You are right, the neighborhood has seen better days, the booths are a little ragged, and if you go into the women's bathroom the bathtub is still there as my grandmother left it years ago. For many this is a trendy little place to visit but for me it was like coming home again. .... Faded Love playing softly in the background and my grandfather patiently waiting to teach me the waltz while my grandmother was tending the bar and cooking the lunch special of the day.
Thank you so much for keeping their memory alive.
snob. very dangerous for single women and a bit snotty for a dive bar.
"dive" might be the correct word. Poor service was the hallmark of a Thursday night visit when temps were hovering at about a hundred degrees. The burgers and sandwiches were good, onion rings frozen and then cooked within an inch of their lives. Beer and drink prices were good. The house isn't as "historic" as it is run down. Run down, in fact, in a neighborhood that is run down. Apparently the bartender serves diners in the booths and doesn't care to. Annoying too is that at 8:15 p.m. the bartender closed all tickets. Ready or not......
fun outdoor spot. We went here at night and they had fire pits lit and keeping us warm. The service was very courteous. I heard you can take your dog here during the day, something I plan to do. Be sure to ask for a key chain. The music was a fun mix.
