I brought my 3 year old daughter there for an exam first of all I wanted OVER an hour for my appointment. 2nd the doctor told the “assistant” that my daughter HAD to be dilated she said she couldn’t do an exam without dilation I have had eye exams my whole life and no one has ever told me I had to be dilated to have an exam. I did agree to the dilation when I FINALLY saw this “doctor” she told me my child needed glasses and that her prescription was so strong that she would only give her half and then I needed to bring her back in 6 weeks. By the way after over 24 hours my daughter’s eyes were STILL dilated. This seemed like a way to get another exam fee to me. I refused to get glasses their after this strange eye exam so I went to target when my daughter got her glasses they were VERY thick and she said they hurt her eyes. I didn’t make her wear them instead I took her for ANOTHER eye exam I had to pay this one out of pocket since I had used my insurance anyway the other doctor said my daughters eyes were ok and she didn’t need glasses. This doctor is a scam and only wants to make money at the expense of a young childs eyes. Are you kidding me.
I recently moved here from Georgia and I was looking for a new eye doctor since I wear contact lenses. I searched the internet and found Modern family vision they had a lot of good reviews so I decided to go. I called to make an appointment they asked for my medical insurance I thought that was odd but ok anyway when I went there everything was great. The staff was great and I loved Dr. Castro. They suggested one day contacts I asked the cost so the doctor brought in the office manager Kim and she explained the cost. She offered an instant rebate and a mail in rebate and even a 100.00 discount off glasses. WOW that’s great since the glasses I have are over 8 years old I had never considered dailies but since I was going to get all these benefits I gave it a try. I love them. They are easy to use and very comfortable. At first I was a little turned off by the phone call but after I went in everything was perfect.
I went to Modern Family vision and the staff was good but the doctor was a little strange. She seemed slow and kept saying the same thing over and over like something was wrong. I am not sure if she was having a bad day but she did go into personal information detail that I feel I didn’t need to hear. I felt very uncomfortable I did buy my glasses there since the staff was so helpful but I haven’t got them yet and I am a little concerned as to how they will turn out.
I Love Modern Family Vision I have been going there for two years now and I think they are great. The staff is friendly and makes you feel like family and the selection is very good. They have a patient loyalty program I joined and it saved me over 60 dollars this visit. I will continue to come their with my family always .
I have never had prescription sunglasses before but I went to the store with a prescription I got somewhere else and picked out regular glasses the guy there suggested sunglasses I told him I couldn’t afford it but he gave me a vision plan discount option and a PAYMENT PLAN that I could use so I agreed. I just picked them up and I could not be happier. I don’t remember the guys name but he was very helpful and I would like to say thanks.
I always take my two children to modern family vision and recently I have went thru some bad times. My mother died and my husband was in a very bad motorcycle accident. I called the office to see about my oldest daughters contact lens exam I wanted to know how much it was going to be. Kim the office manager got on the phone and went over fees she offered me a discount off the exam as well as the contacts themselves. That was good enough but then 2 days later when I came in for my appointment she gave me a condolence card with a gift card in it. She hugged me and gave me her cell in case I needed someone to talk to. I have had no one to turn to during all that I have been going thru and then an almost stranger reaches out to me like this. I am touched that there are still nice people in the world.
I bought 3 pairs of glasses over the past 3 years from these people, and all 3 had to be redone at least once. I was told by the optometrist that I was not a candidate for contact lenses. Finally coming to my senses, I decided to try a different eye doctor, and lo and behold, I am wearing contact lenses today and love them! Clearly this place does not have what it takes to get the job done. Additionally, I can't emphasize enough how completely unprofessional and rude the office manager, Kim Miller, is. She yells at customers, employees, doesn't return phone calls, and refuses to give patients copies of their prescriptions, which is the LAW. You would be doing yourself a disservice to give this sorry group of people your business. They do not treat their customers well.
I went in to MFV to get some new oakleys and Kayla helped me get not 1 pair but 2! They were having a buy 1 get 1 sale and that was great. I love oakleys but i had never seen the ones she showed me. They actually have interchangeable part to make them a different color. Thanks Kayla!
I called Modern Family at 8:30 last night. My eye was red and bothering me. The office mgr answered the phone called a Dr. then called me back. Then they worked me in first thing this morning. I didnt even have to wait! What service! Thanks Kim and Modern Family yall are great.
It seemed like I was going to a really great "Family Vision Clinic" re the staff and doctors. I have been going to Modern Valley Vision for over 10 yrs. now and they always treat me like family! I actually look forward to going to the doctor! Can you believe that?
