In Short – Farm workers and white-collar downtown denizens mingle in this nest of Mexican tiles, brightly painted walls and serape curtains. The food is as authentic as the decor, sticking to such classics as enchiladas, tortilla soup and fajitas. More adventurous types should go for the camarones a la diabla, jumbo shrimp sauteed in a tangy concoction of hot peppers and herbs.

Editor's Tips

When to Go:
Saturdays are perfect for enjoying a margarita outdoors and watching the farmers' market foot traffic go by.
What to Drink:
Pending the liquor license, there's no alcohol, but weekend patrons may enjoy a margarita on the house.

fish tacos are to die for

by SierraK at Citysearch

The tacos are fresh and burritos beat anything you ever had. The salsa should be sold in jars.

  • Pros: delicious tacos
  • Cons: no rock music lol

Great Food, Low Price, Wonderful Time

by MutidNoyze at Citysearch

You're greeted at the door when you enter. (At this point, if you?re looking to eat outside, you need to let them know or they will seat you inside) Once you?re seated you?re brought homemade chips and fresh salsa in a serving container with individual bowls for everyone at the table (so you don?t have to worry about those double dippers that you may be sitting with) Inside is decorated with a tradition Mexican look. Outside you have the pigeons walking around hoping you?ll spare them a chip or two! You can always order a Bud Light or a Mexican Cerveza of your choice (I prefer Sol with lime). Your food is served rather quickly; I?ve tried most of the menu and I haven?t found anything I don?t like! My wife always has tortilla soup; she absolutely loves it! Once you finish your meal, I highly recommend that you try out the Flan. When it?s all said and done, your check is brought to you, you realize ?I had a really great time for a low, low price.?

  • Pros: Amazing service, Ice cold beer, flavorful food, very low price. What more could you want?
  • Cons: I had to ask for more cheese for my fajitas.
