The Scene – The sleek interior features lightly toned walls, accented by dark floors and ceiling. A clear waterfall draws attention while the outdoor patio provides a (just far enough away) view of Greenville. The patio is a quieter area for dining. Servers are attentive and courteous, while patrons consist of business types and M Street residents. Delivery is offered to a limited area. The full bar offers sake, wine and beer in addition to mixed drinks. – – The Food – The menu is sushi and Thai dishes designed for sharing. A strong starter is the pot sticker-like…
Editor's Tips
- Where to Sit:
- Weather permitting, the patio is a pleasant spot for quiet conversation.
- Save Time:
- While the location is off the beaten path, it offers a relief from the bustling Greenville Avenue restaurant mayhem.
- Save Money:
- Sushi combos are enough for two.

Banana boats, spider rolls and yellow curry with no veggies make this place a favorite of mine. Whether its after a few rounds of pool at billiard bar or just a nice easy dinner after work, sushi and sake are always on my mind.
- Pros: Great food and setting makesyou never want to leave.
- Cons: Tiny parking area and the saturday traffic to get there.

Do not get delivery!

Nandina's food is very nice-- if you should happen to get all of it the first time around. Unfortunately, on multiple occasions they have neglected to deliver up to half of the food order we'd asked for delivery. It makes me very sad, as I very much enjoy their lettuce chicken wrap hot tapas and other dishes....but sad to say, I will not be ordering from them for delivery again. Upon receiving a call that part of the order was not delivered, the person answering the phone said it would be delivered "soon"-- which meant in about 40 minutes after all of the other food is cold and you're close to starving. Not to mention, we ordered sushi once and it had decidedly gone bad long before we received it. Sorry Nandina, we'll be looking elsewhere for delivery next time.
If you can.... Avoid Delivery!!

Ok, the food is great when you go in person, but I usually don't complain about delivery orders but, seriously!!, I needed Rosetta Stone to place my order. I came home from a long night of working and had a craving for take out. So I called up Nandina's and spent 45 minutes explaining my addresses and apartment number and what I wanted to eat.. I had to spell each word with a military signals, you know, C for charlie, F for Fox or Fried rice. By the time my food arrived I was past out with a box of crackers watching sports center and had to eat it for breakfast. Like i said great food and service when dining in, just have a translator when ordering take out.

I've been eating at Nandina approximately once every two weeks for the past two years, and I will keep coming back.
I mostly order my food to go, but I've dined at the restaurant many times. I'm not sure where the stories of bad service come from. The menu is a little on the pricey side if you can eat a lot of sushi like I can, but the sushi is high quality. Their tapas are always excellent.
I've had sushi at many different Dallas restaurants, and the food here compares very favorably to the other places I've been.
The parking situation leaves a lot to be desired, but that's the only draw back that I can think of.
