Dallas >Food & Dining > Fuji Steakhouse & Sushi Bar
I would never ever go back to this place. There are many reasons.
I don?t like the smell of the restaurant when I step into there. It made me feel that I haven?t take shower for centuries. It?s so oily and the bad smell really disgusted me a lot.
The hostess shows that face, which made me feel I owe her over millions. I just don?t understand why I have to pay money to go to that place and receive such service.
The sushi was just ok, not too exciting. Don?t have any comment on it. I?m a kind of professional sushi eater. I eat sushi at least 3 days a week.
I really think people should not waste money and time on this restaurant. Go somewhere else as you would get a better service and proper food to eat.
Best Sushi and Steak in Dallas. I went to Fuji last week with my boyfriend. I found that on Zagat book which about the best Japanese restaurant in America. I thought Fuji is great place with a really good steak and sushi. Right when you stick the food in your mouth your mind will be like " WOW! " They also have excellent service and a great staff. They know how to make you feel welcome right when you walk through the doors. They tend to your every need. For example. My boyfriend was mad at me at the time, i personally asked one of the waitress if i can make a sorry note for him. Even though it was a hastle for them, they did it anyways. To them customers always come first. I highly recommend you to eat there. They have great food and great service.
don't even give it a try. my family made a reservation for the grill and we come in and still have to wait for an hour, the waitress and the hostess just want to kick us out after the dinner so they will have table for the next group. We paid for the expensive food and did not get what we expect. The food was not that great. The chef did not do much show. Maybe he hurry so he could cook the next table. And the sevice was definately bad. We would not go back there and would not recommend anyone to go there.
it' s a waste of money. fuji restaurant is horrible, my wife and I listen to the friend and go there to try out, there is no decoration inside, it looks to plain, the food is no taste and over-priced, to make it worst, we saw a live cockroack on the table..... i do not recommend this place to anyone
This little restaurant in the southwest corner of Preston and LBJ is a great gem of a sushi bar.
My husband and I have enjoyed sushi for years and until the last decade have only had one or two choices in town for any kind of sushi.
Now it seems to be everywhere, however, it is not as easy to find variety and quality. Fuji has both and, for now, doesn't have the 2 hour wait.
If you love your sushi but hate the wait and want more than the standard california or spicy tuna roll, this is the place. (For those who have to have their California Roll, Sam, the master chef, does make the best in town.)
We have enjoyed many meals there now and the service is always friendly and attentive. Our favorite part of the restaurant is the sushi bar where the entertainment is watching the very talented chefs make their edible works of art. It is almost too pretty to eat, but of course we do every time.
Our favorites are the Sushimi Salad, the Mamasan Roll (ask it isn't on the menu) and the Uni. My son will argue that the Tuna Tataki is the best. We all have our favorites. The specials board is a mixture delightful sushi, sashimi, salads, and grilled appetizers. We love them all and now often tell the chef to surprise us.
The habachi tables are a great special occasion too. We took a big crowd for my son's birthday. His 16 year old girlfriend is a very finicky eater and loved the fried rice and edimame. The tableside preparation makes any meal a party. If you are looking for a way to make a date or family member feel like you thought of their occasion, ages in advance, try the habachi dinner, bottle of wine, and the Strawberry Sunday for dessert.
No reservations necessary. For now.
dont go to FUJI!!.
I was sitting on the couch last night when a good friend of mine asked me if I have ever tried this Japanese resteraunt down the road called "FUJI". I replied with NO and he insisted that I go try it out,,,,or as he says,,,"Dude you gotta try it out, the steak is WAY better than Kobe's" So me and my girlfriend gave it a try!
This ended up being the worst mistake that I have made so far in '07!!!!! I decided to eat the !@oz Kobe Beef special they had on the menu,,,,,,,,and let me tell you.....It was the WORST EXCUSE FOR MEAT, Let ALONE KOBE BEEF( Oh Yeah it was 60.00 for the plate BTW!!!) The stuff looked like chopped beef from Luby's!!! They couldn't make a Cosmo for my girl and you had to ask twice for anything that you wanted from the waitress.. Well i am already sick of talking about this "HOLE in the wall" so let me sum up my final conclusion about this place. This is hands down the worst resteruant in the dallas metroplex that I have ever stepped foot into and I have lived here for 28 years!!! The service was horrible and the lady that they called the MANAGER was probabally the owner's daughter and she had no clue how to handle the situation, especially when they tried to put a $120 bill on us for food that I told was terrible and I sent back!~!!! Oh well,,,,It not the first timethat I have gone somewhere and struck out,,,,,,,,,But it is the first time that I took the opinion from another friend to go try some new place out...And it will DEFINATELY be the last!!!! To my friend KEVIN,,,,I told your friend over there at FUJI that youwould be soon to see them,,and I told them to make sure they have the KOBE BEEF special TUBE STEAK waiting for you, and I think they even said that they would have the special sauce waiting for you Kev!!!
