great house band. i went to gilleys this past fri oct30 to see the house band and when i was on i30east it was bumper to bumper and i was in traffic for a half an hour and by the time i went to park and got into gilleys i had to pay an 8dollar cover charge which is not bad. but when i had to park way out by the dumpsters i was mad bc i did not kno there was 3groups playing at the palladium and 1 group at the loft. i think they should have seperate parking lots. i was not happy until i saw the house band at gilleys. they rock!!!
Country-western bar featuring a mechanical bull, music legends, huge dance floor, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting..
In Short
They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that's certainly the case when it comes to this outpost of the legendary Houston nightspot. Home to "El Toro," the mechanical bull from "Urban Cowboy," this country-western bar can house 2,500 people at one time. Headliners such as George Strait, Mark Chestnut and Tracy Byrd have graced the stage above the 10,000-square-foot dance floor. There's a full bar and a covered patio area.
