great service, bad pizza. If you like soggy pizza crust witthout any texture, you will love this pizza. How on earth this place was voted best pizza I will never understand. This was so bad I couldn't eat more than one slice. (Normally I am of the view that even bad pizza is pretty edible because it's hot and has melted cheese.) The really sad thing is that when you read the menu, you get the impression that you are in for something special. But starting with the crust, the overseasoned sauce, etc...it is just a bad use of good food. I was very disappointed given the great reviews and obvious care taken to procure quality ingredients. The service was great, but I have no intention of returning.
Great Food. Great Service. Great Time.. A couple of co-workers and myself ventured to the Fireside Pies on Inwood & Lovers the other night basically just looking to get some good pizza. Having only been to the Henderson location before we did not know what to expect. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised. This location is much larger so the wait seemed to go by much more quickly. The service was great! The waitresses are were all very nice, had great senses of humor and were sharp. We had at least three different girls (all blondes) approach us to make sure we were having a great time during the course of our meal. A little pushy on the "specials" for the night, but one of my colleagues actually ended up getting something they recommended. You can easily run up your check here, but overall it is worth it. Great atmosphere and a place where you can take your family, significant other or co-workers and still feel comfortable. A combination like that is very rare to find in Dallas these days.
Great Food, intimate atmosphere, wonderful service.
I had never visited or heard of this place. I just took a chance - and I am glad I did. I want to extremely thank them for the hospitality and wonderful planning of my boyfriends 30th Birthday dinner we had at the restuarant. Everyone had a great time and they really enjoyed the food. It was everyones first time. The salad was the most talked about. His mother doesn't eat pizza in the states, but said it was great. It reminded her of the pizza she ate when she lived in Italy! Again, I cannot say enough how much I appreciated the staff. They were accommodating (for my last minute notice) and did a wonderful job - from the set up of the decor to making sure me and my party's needs were meet every minute we were there.
I would definitely recommend this small, tastful, great atmosphere eatery to anyone. I will be back.
Will not go back. Have been here tons of times. We love the atmosphere, the beer/wine selection and the appetizers. Pizza is usually ok. The weight is long, very long, however we never used to mind because as I said we enjoy the atmosphere. Will not go back. Large parties routinely get sat before 2 tops and on one occasion the waitress actually told us that she was preparing a booth for us and then sat a party of 4 in it (they arrived long after us). With that kind of customer service, we are done going there. Too many other great pizza places in Dallas.
Great food!.
We called ahead to be sure that this restaurant was kid-friendly. The young man who answered the phone assured me it was a family friendly atmosphere and said, "Bring 'em on!" when I informed him that we have 4 kids.
We had the Fireside Cheese Salad, which was absolutely delicious! Even my picky 2- year- old ate it! We also ordered the Bruschetta, Triple 'Roni Pizza, and Piled Prosciutto Pizza. We enjoyed every bite! The only complaints were from the kids, who found the Triple 'Roni Pizza flavors were too complicated for their Domino's Pizza taste buds.
The servers were attentive and friendly. We would love to go back!
Cons: The seating capacity is kind of small, and the large metal chairs make a horrible screaching sound when the kids move them around on the brick patio.
great pizza and great patio.. a couple of girlfriends and i ate at fireside pies around 9:45 on a friday and only had to wait 45 minutes. but we sat outside and had some red passion sangria while we waited and it was fabulous. we sat on the patio and our waitress was really attentive. we didnt have to wait all that long for our pizza either. it was delicious! i got the north beach pizza with scarmoza cheese (a smoky mozzarella) and it was even better cold the next day. i am definitely going back.
Best pizza in Dallas. There is a reason this place is so crowded - they serve the best pizza in town! When I go for dinner, I either go early, around 6:30 or late, after 10pm and I usually avoid going on the weekends. I've always had great service. Outdoor patio is really nice.
Does not answer their phone - ever, incredibly long wait. Try to get them to answer their phone. What restaurant doesn't answer their phone? I mean NEVER. The wait? Ridiculous. I mean stupid. Forget about this place. It's not that cool.
Overrated.
Extremly crowded, to the point of being annoying. I could not carry on a conversation without yelling. One of the servers practically ran over me on my way to the bathroom telling me to "Hurry, hurry!!" He was carrying a pepper grinder...I guess it was heavy...
The food is overpriced and mediocre at best. The wait was ridiculous. I would not recommend this place.
absolutely the best. Great place to call your own. I love the crowd. It seems that it is always busy, but well worth the wait. The pizzas have amazing flavor, and the salads are over the top. The place humms all night. My friends an I make it our weekly tradition.
