I have been going to Obar for almost two years now and it is still my favorite bar in Dallas. The staff makes me feel like I am apart of their family and the crowd always makes for interesting people watching. One of the best things about Obar is that it is eclectic, you don't have to fit a certain profile to feel like you belong. If you haven't been there or if it has been awhile then I suggest hitting it up on a Friday night, the DJ is great!

I'm hispanic, and visit this bar when I can. They treat me very well! I have not felt discriminated against at all. Its a great place, w/o the guestlist nonsense and no cover! Good pours and great patio. Im just going off what i've experienced and it has been great. Crowd has always been diverse on my visits as well.
Pros: no guestlist, no cover
Cons: dallas drink prices are starting to resemble nyc
