The Scene – Tucked into a tiny wedge of the pedestrian-friendly Mockingbird Station sits Spike (after dark, look for its illuminated blue sign). Depending on the time of day, customers enter through one of two doors--a typical storefront glass for lunchtime hours, a heavier alternative at night. The small L-shaped location separates the bar area from dining tables, allowing hungry customers breathing room from the mingling singles crowd. Have fun...just don't stay too late.

First Review: I want to clear up some of the pre-stated bar info.
Smoking is allowed after 10pm.
Minimum age is supposed to be 21+ although under aged are almost always let in.
This leads to the already small 'club' becoming a broom closet. Loses appeal as the hours roll by.
Tuesday Nights have become 'thuggish'. Old School hip hop brings out "Dallas' finest".
Bar service is painfully slow now after losing a few good bartenders.
Food is great with an excellent selection of worldly foods. A well priced menu makes it worth coming back
My advice? Go around 9pm and leave before 10:30 and go someplace else.
- Pros: Great drinks, tasty food, good value.
- Cons: way too crowed after 10:30pm - Too many 20 and unders.
Good Happy Hour?
by donnaaries
Rumored to have a good hahpy hour, a group of friends and I went after work. We missed the happy hour somehow and just did a round of tapas and drinks. The watermelon mojito was good (really strong) as were all the tapas dishes. However, the tapas were so small that it was difficult to share.
- Pros: Atmosphere
- Cons: Portion size
