The Scene – Dark woods, red-and-white checkered tablecloths and murals of grape vines recall bistro and wine country. The restaurant seats a few dozen at best, lending an air of intimacy, but reverberation from the concrete floors makes conversation difficult. A blackboard lists the menu, which changes every two weeks. – – The Food – Mainstays include the very woodsy and creamy mushroom soup. Baked Brie and honey beg to be slathered onto crusty hot bread. Pork osso buco gives the classic dish a lighter, peachier twist (it's served with a generous scoop of soft…
Quality service dependent on volume of customers

Location excellent service was good at start of meal but declined as the place filled up. Food was average, dishes of note were lamb tartines and mussels. As a repeat customer I was disappointed.
- Pros: Location,ambience
- Cons: disappoiniting service and main course
AMAZING Cuisine

Although I agree that the service is slow, it is totally worth your time. The food is absolutely delicious, and I have been in love with this place ever since my first visit last month. My table was outside and very romantic, despite being elbow-to-elbow with other tables...you'll find some of the typical Dallas weirdos having their usual conversations, but all that blends into the background once you start with the appetizer and a nice glass of red wine.
If you've never had duck and always wanted to try , this is the place to go! The only thing I wish they had on the menu but didn't was traditional flourless chocolate cake.
The mushroom soup is to die for, my husband normally hates mushrooms but practically licked the bowl clean. I am using it this year in my green bean casserole to impress the relatives.
Happy Eating!!!
- Pros: Food, Food, Food!!!
- Cons: Slow Service
Used to be good but not anymore...Disappointed

The Grape claims to change their menu frequently but I haven't seen a change for over a year. I guess the change is putting a new header on the menu Fall 2008 or Spring 09. The red wine is warm and served at around 80 degrees, they should know better. The female owner was overheard the whole evening talking about staffing issues and then on the telephone in the middle of the dining area. Why not talk in the back...i dont want to hear it. The tall dark hair waitress was a slow and bordering on rude. Its such a dissappointment that this restaurant has gone down hill so fast.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Service and Wine
