Buying or Selling - Don't Do Business With Rickey Benns/BEWARE. I am the friend supergr8midget was referring to. Rickey Benns has altered my life in a major way. Because of him, I am homeless and I am separated from my pets and 90% of my belongings. He continued to take my payments, knowing that the house was in danger of foreclosure. Because of his actions, I have spent unnecessary money and so did my nephews. My nephews flew in from Chicago to help me gather my things and move, I had to rent a truck, and obtain a storage facility for my belongings. Now I'm spending a ridiculous amount of money on gas driving from work to my temporary residence to my friend's house to see two of my dogs and to my sister's apt to visit another dog.

Rickey promised to pay me my money back, but I have not received one cent from him.

Fortunately for me, the foreclosure was not in my name so I can still purchase another home in the future. Unfortunately for the couple who sold Rickey the house, the foreclosure is in their name and therefore ruining their credit.

I don't know if I will ever receive any of my money back but I want others to know about this guy. I want others to BE AWARE of Rickey Benns. He claims he want to help people who have credit challenges. However, I find that to be a selling statement, so he can get your business. Unethical and Unprofessional. Unethical & Unprofessional... Of course, he doesn't seem that way when things are going well, but I have a dear friend who thought he was the best thing since sliced bread-- perhaps even an answer to her prayers-- until the house she purchased from him was foreclosed on. The home was not foreclosed on because she failed to make the payments. Quite the contrary-- she paid on time to Mr. Benns who failed to ensure that the home payments were made. He may be able to point to other "happy" consumers (of which my friend was one at one time), but that doesn't eradicate the fact that he caused a woman who did everything right to be homeless. For that there is no justification-- only a promise of judgment that only God can provide. Please read her complete story (I would have included links; however, citysearch does not allow URLs):
