It's Ok

With so many high quality restaurants in Dallas, each needs something to make it stand apart and make you want to come back for more. While Aurora's food is good, so are many restaurants in this city. I don't mind the small portions, as I am tired of places where the portions are overwhelming for a normal person. However, the prices are on the ridiculous side for the quality. Also, there were too many tables which meant no bar or waiting area to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail.
- Pros: Generally good food, friendly service
- Cons: Over priced, too crowded (# tables), no bar area

Revived atmosphere with the same great food and service

I went to Aurora for their $18 three-course lunch. I was pleased to see that the atmosphere had been given a face lift and felt fresh and revived.
The food and service thankfully remained at the same level you would expect from Aurora. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. We finished the meal full and happy with money left in our wallets. A great deal and may be the best kept secret in Dallas....

excellent lunch place

I stopped in for lunch recently, and it was very nice. I upgraded the salad to the one with duck and rabbit, and it was great. Their wild mushroom plate is great--very flavorful and lots of different kinds of mushrooms. This is probably the best deal in town.
