Closing at the end of this month.
They are closing at the end of this month.
I told them they needed to get the word out more than just constant contact. Don't let this happen to you. PLEASE use some other sort of media to let us know who and where you are.
We are sorry you didn't make it.
It's Ok. With so many high quality restaurants in Dallas, each needs something to make it stand apart and make you want to come back for more. While Aurora's food is good, so are many restaurants in this city. I don't mind the small portions, as I am tired of places where the portions are overwhelming for a normal person. However, the prices are on the ridiculous side for the quality. Also, there were too many tables which meant no bar or waiting area to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail.
Revived atmosphere with the same great food and service.
I went to Aurora for their $18 three-course lunch. I was pleased to see that the atmosphere had been given a face lift and felt fresh and revived.
The food and service thankfully remained at the same level you would expect from Aurora. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. We finished the meal full and happy with money left in our wallets. A great deal and may be the best kept secret in Dallas....
this is the owner
good lunch place. This is a great place for lunch. For a while, they had a more expansive menu, which I'd like to see again. But even without, it's a very good deal.
Best dining experience in Dallas - period. I recently went here for a business dinner and was highly impressed with every aspect of this restaurant. Although appetizer portions were small they were outstanding! I highly recommend the gnochi app but ask for the sweet potato version which is beyond decadent! I ordered the signature dish - the sole and diver scallop entree and it was out of this world! As far as dessert I thought the financier option was by far the best. I thought the service was outstanding and the ambiance was very elegant and old world. A very quiet, intimate place. There aren't too many affordable wine selections but I didn't find the entree prices to be too expensive but definitely on the high end for a city like Dallas. Regardless, I dine out frequently and I really thought this was a noteworthy experience!
Awesome service!!.
My husband and I are also 20 somethings and we went for our anniversary and the sevice was impecable. I didn't feel the service was snooty at all I loved our waiter, after
dinner he gave us a tour of the cellar. I would definitly go back again:)
Good Food, "ok" service. Food was very good, however the service was somewhat "snooty". Maybe they don't expect 20-somethings to spend any money, but I expected to be treated a little better. Very good, very classic menu.
Upscale Oak Lawn restaurant offers exceptional service, exquisite food and excellent wine..
The Scene
A dozen tables fill this small, romantic restaurant. Enter through the velvet curtain into a room lined with a neutral micro-suede fabric, a backdrop to white table clothes, candles and rosebuds. Waiters in tuxedos uncover plates in unison, adding a very choreographed, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. A private wine cellar is available for parties of up to 10 people.
The Food
Meals start with a complimentary appetizer from Chef Avner Samuel; the restaurant's signature farm egg custard topped with truffles presented in an eggshell. This dish is to awaken the palate for the meal. The bouquet of garden salad comes with roasted beets, crushed black truffle montrachet cheese and wrapped in a light phyllo package. Champagne sorbet is served to cleanse the palate before the entree. Tenderloin is topped with foie gras and served with a potato confit. Seasonal pan-seared Alaskan halibut is served glazed in a three-caviar white-balsamic vinaigrette.
User review by up2you. Too expensive for the small portions. Can't move around in the place, not because there's too many customers but too many tables.
