Owner Cretia Drydale lures her customers into her romantically vogue restaurant with a patio speckled with flowers and iron-works. Inside, antique accents, heavy wooden furniture and tin-stamped ceilings lend to an ambience reminiscent of the 1800s. Uptown fans of the past location and the affluent Park Cities crowd trickle in for the Cajun meatloaf and rotisserie prime rib of beef, both served with a vegetable and a choice of fries, crushed potatoes and creamy gorgonzola polenta. Dessert is homemade at the Duncanville shop and is brought in daily for those craving cakes and cookies.

What I LOVE about this bar is that you can go with a big group and there is something for everyone! If you want to dance there is always the darker room with the dance floor and DJ. If you want the normal bar scene there is a large front room and also a great balcony. Many nights they have live music as well as the DJ. I would always suggest this place to people who have crowds who may want a mixed scene all in one place!
Dark Depressing & Overpriced!

I took a date here and regreted it. The service was slow and impersonal. The food arrived "very" late and was cold! When we spoke to a manager, he seemed to be preoccupied with something else. He assured us the owner would call us. NEVER DID! And there was no attempt to comp our food or anything! So we basically god bad service, cold food and overpaid for it!
- Pros: I was able to write a novel while I waited for my food!
- Cons: No saving grace
Bad food! Lousy Service! Bad Atmosphere!

Cretia's is now at 4900 McKinney not the 4400 blk. People rave about this dump and I have yet to figure this out! The place is not an upscale sit down restaurant. Maybe this is where I went wrong. I was looking for a nice place to relax with the wife after a long hectic week. I was told we had to check out the new place on McKinney and there we go! WRONG MOVE! the minute we were seated should have been clue #one. The place is noisy, the staff seemed preoccupied or just not in the mood to serve. We were both very upset by the time we got out. Thank you Cretia's for ruining the weekend! We vowed never to go back! I don't care if this was a fluke but this FLUKE just put a very bad taste in my mouth!!! This is a BAR! The staff of this place are all throwbacks from IHOP! The Manager LOL - I don't know where they found this character! I'm sorry but no repeat visit from us! CRETIA'S ON MCKINNEY is not a business I want in my neighborhood. BAD FOR THE AREA!!!! You look at the 5 stars given surely they are in with the owner of this dump.
- Pros: Walking out the door!
- Cons: Bad SERVICE
