In Short – Yellow stuccoed walls, iron-gated archways and Mexican pottery conspire to make diners feel transported to old Mexico. Although the menu is primarily standard Tex-Mex fare (enchiladas, flautas, etc.) a few surprise entrees differentiate it from comparable menus. The Pollo Cristina is a tender chicken breast lightly smothered in a creamy poblano sauce. Queso flameado is a spicy, festive appetizer served tableside. For dessert, order the sugary sopapillas, honey-drenched fried dough. – – – –
THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
by MrMarshall85 at Citysearch
Took 45 minutes to get our food. The food was cold and inedible. We ate nothing and asked the the check. The waiter looked at our plates and handed us the check. He never asked what was wrong or if he could bring us something else. I am not even sure he spoke English.
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: SLOW SERVICE, COLD FOOD, EXPENSIVE
Our Favorite Restaurant

The food is always good...their chips and salsa are the best. Hubby loves the enchiladas del mar (seafood enchiladas) - I get a variety of things from spinach/mushroom quesadillas to chicken enchiladas to tortilla soup to fajitas...all are good. Service is always good...food comes out quickly and is always hot and fresh. They have a really nice patio and have made it so it can be comfortable year round. Margaritas are always good...we like strawberry and peach. We go 2-3 times a month.
- Pros: Great Food, Great Service and yummy margaritas!
- Cons: Occasionally having to wait for a table
Slow, Bland and "Short Pours"

I have visited the Plano location twice. On both ocassions the bar service was slow, the $13 "top shelf" Margarita was weak. I also oredered a shot of 1800 to be served on a small cocktail glass and proceeded to observe the bartender's pour. When one is paying $13 for 'Ritas and ordering shots for friends on the side a bartender with a "nervous" pour is appreciated. This guy had the most steady pour I had ever seen and their measure of a shot is way short by the standards set by most other watering holes.
I sampled the quesadillas and the flautas and they were both on the bland side.
Not planning to return.
- Pros: Ambience and friendly hostess
- Cons: Slow with the bar orders and weak and over priced drinks.
