Hidden Jewel in Uptown.
What can I say, I love the place. Whether its the waitstaff who actually know what theyre talking about or the incredible food, its one of my favorites. I've been to the more expensive, more
exclusive places, and truthfully theyre mostly fluff. If you like good food without having to make a trip to Stanley Korshak before you go, Angela's is the place. Lunch is packed, so get there early.
I have no idea what happened to the bridal shower lady, but Angela is true to her namesake.…
Awesome Experience. Best restaurant in Dallas!!!. It's funny that the previous review is so off because I just had a party at Angela's Bistro and had the best experience. The owner Angela and the staff bent over backwards to accomodate us and made my friends baby shower an event to remember. I would highly highly recommend this restaurant for anything. We also had a wonderful dinner there and go back frequently since the shower. The food is some of the best in the city. Best lamb I have ever had!!!! Lunch is also really good. Huge salads and killer crab cakes. One of our favorite spots in Dallas!…
Terrible service from Angela herself.
I wish I could give this place 0 stars based on service alone (the food I can not speak for). I planned a Saturday afternoon bridal shower a month in advance and told the staff 24 people were
invited. Neither the staff or the website said anything about a minimum for a tea party...I was only told to call the Monday before to give a final head count.
When I called with a final number of 12 the Monday before, I thought everything was all set. That is until Angela herself called back, and informed my co-host she would not serve our party because there were "ONLY 12 of us." She was VERY RUDE and said she would call back and let us know the 'convenience fee' she was going to charge. She didn't call back after 2 days leaving us to change all of our plans for this shower in 3 days. Luckily, we found a fantastic restaurant called La Duni (highly recommended) and cancelled with Angela's.…
Food was OK, but can get just as good with better service.
The food was actually pretty good...however, we will not be back. For a Sat. night it was not too busy, and there were only two waiters. We waited for what seemed like forever to even have someone
come to the table. Drinks came slow, dinner came slow... When we asked for the basket of bread everyone else had on their tables we were told that the "rule" was that you could not have bread until there was some other food on your table. I mean...are you kidding me?!?!!?
When we finally got the check (which took forever) we saw that the drinks we ordered were 13.00 a piece. I mean, they were nothing special; just Cosmos. The waiter told us that the reason things were so slow was because Angela did "everything by hand." H
In sum, the food was pretty good, but you can really get just as good of food elsewhere in Dallas with MUCH better service and cheaper drinks.…
A well-kept secret. What a quiet, wonderful surprise Angela's Bistro 51 was! The food was fabulous, the atmosphere refined but relaxed and friendly and the staff were excellent. It is a hidden Uptown jewel. The lamb truly was fabulous, the scallops plump and cooked perfectly, and if you are a chocolate lover, the chocolate pecan-crusted dessert was amazing.…
