Out of Business as of 1/2009 - It was fantastic but is now gone. I loved Ed's Deli but went there recently and the space is for rent and it is empty! Sad day for Dallas!!

An 'Oy Vey' Knock-Off Jewish Deli. With all due respect to the other reviewers I find Ed's Deli to be a far cry from a real Jewish deli. I suppose for a Jewish deli in Texas I should increase my rating to 3 stars. But any old timer 'Yid' that grew-up in the east where there is real Jewish deli's not knock-offs will know that the food at Ed's is marginal at best. Yes, I suppose with not many other viable choices you could get used to it. Now that they are making their own bagels (khaloshes) rather then bringing them in from NY the restaurant has gone down another notch.

What A Meal!. I just returned to work after having lunch at Deli News, too. It was great. The sandwiches were almost too big to eat. The Reuben is definitely the best sandwich in Dallas and the matzo ball soup had matzo balls that newarly filled the over-sized bowl. As a topper we shared the whicte chocolate banana pudding. It was the best banana pudding I hae had in my 27 years in Dallas. I wish they gave Advantage miles because I would be planning some big trips for the future.

New York Has Come To Da1llas. My business takes me to NYC at least once a month and when I am there I always manage to eat deli two or three times. Until now, there has been nnothing like it in Dallas. However, Deli-News, too is incredible. They bring breads, bagels, meats and fish from New York and prepare like the best New York delis. The Rueben was outstanding and they have a soup menu with 13 or 14 soups made every day. I have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all were great. Thoe Dallasites who complain about missing good new York deli can stop complaining now.

Sometimes you just get a craving for corned beef!. When you walk in the door you get the feeling you just walked through the lower East side of New York City. It's not that corporate chain environment where everything is the same every time you come in. You start learning the names of the servers, deli guys, and even the owner by the end of your meal. Nothing is better then Chicken Barley soup and the full hot corned beef sandwich on fresh rye bread. You may want to take half home for latter because they have so many cakes and cookies for dessert. Great for Lunch or Dinner, and we defiantly have them in our monthly rotation for office work meetings. A+
