Fantastic brunch. I attended a brunch at Eden Restaurant. The food was fantastic and varied. The presentation as well as quality were five-star. The plum tart for dessert with a shortbread-like crust was divine, as were the chocolate-dipped strawberries after that. The chef paid us a visit at the end, and was very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend Eden for any party, gathering or dinner out.

Wow. What a great place. The best french dip in town without a doubt. Do no be fooled, also great and sophisticated food. Even better byob and pair a great wine with a fantastic meal. We will be back many more times.

BEST FOOD IN DALLAS. I travel all of the time so I eat out a lot, and this is the best food at the most reasonable prices that I have had in Dallas. Far surpasses Stephen Pyles new place which does have nice decor and pretty belly dancers, (NEITHER OF WHICH HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH WHY I GO OUT TO EAT!!) but the food (at SP's) is just mediocre there. At Eden I can really see people who care about the quality of the food and service that they are giving to each customer. After eating at Eden a couple of times, I took my mom there for High Tea : WHAT A TREAT! This is the best High Tea that I have had since High Tea in London at the 5-star hotel (Dorchester?) there in town. What is more, mom is a bit hard of hearing, and we had no problem talking at Eden because they do not pipe in the usually loud and awful background music that most Dallas restaurants seem to insist on. I strongly recommend Eden to everyone.

Have to agree or BEST FRENCH DIP on the planet!!. I concur : THE BEST FRENCH DIP that I have ever eaten anywhere. It's served on a toasted soft sub roll with fresh baked Prime Rib piled high on it (whatever color that you prefer) and steaming hot Au Jus to dip in. The whole thing comes with a choice of soup or salad, fresh home baked breads, and a lovely strawberry dipped in rich dark chocolate! It's a wonderful feast even for my hearty appetite.

My wife actually found this little place first, when she was looking for a nice quiet place to have “afternoon high tea with her girlfriends”. They were getting very tired of the "not so service-people and extremely high prices” that they encountered elsewhere (like a hotel that starts with an 'A') where they were usually having tea at downtown, so she looked around to see where else in town served High Tea. She found several including Eden. They started meeting for tea at a new place each week, but were finding very mediocre food and service with high prices, UNTIL they found Eden! She came home raving about Eden! She told me the food and atmosphere there were 1st class with everything for tea served on silver trays, but the price was 1/2 of what it had been costing them at hotel 'A'! She brought home a to-go menu too, for me to look at. The menu looked pretty good and the prices were extremely reasonable, so the next week I went into Eden for lunch with a couple of buddies from the office. We each ordered something different, but all anyone was saying as we ate was "mmmmmmmmmm"! My French Dip was so excellent that I have never tried anything else on the sandwich menu since then, but my buddies had : a couple of different kinds of Burgers and a Meatball Sub. They were all as happy with their food as I was with mine, and we now go to Eden regularly for lunch together. I always get the French Dip, but the others have tried other things including the Quiche (apparently "real men" do eat Quiche!) and the meatloaf dinner, etc., and we are always happy with our food and our service. The “little Asian” girl is Cheryl; she is so refined: always quit, polite, non-intrusive, efficient. When they are busy and no one made reservations, service might not be ‘fast food’, because the chef does very bit of the cooking herself after you order it, but if anyone needs hurried service anyway, all they have to do is let these people know what time they have to be out of there by and they will do darn good at making it happen. You can also order stuff not on the menu and they will make it anyway (two over easy with bacon and taost for dinner? no problem!) My wife and I go there before the Ballet for dinner all of the time, and when we say what time we have to be gone by and order right away, we are always on time. Its true at lunch too. Most people who go to Eden are not in any particular hurry. Eden is peaceful and it has a way of making one very comfortable, where it is easy to loose track of time. People who go there, like my buddies and I, enjoy a leisurely lunch (we take lunch at 4:00 so that we don’t have to go back to the office; Eden does not close between meals like some places do) or we let them know when we walk in that we only have ½ an hour to be out and even when they are busy we always make it on time.

We have been making Eden a regular 'date night' for about 2 1/2 years now. I love that they are consistently good, reasonably priced, and BYOB. I don't much like the parking which is limited to about 6 spaces in front and 4 places in back (if no one parks like a J-rk), but we always find a place. It's okay to park on the street there, but I don't ever like to. The food is worth returning to over and over again despite the parking though! I can not say enough good stuff about this charming little place.

BEST FRENCH DIP I'VE EVER HAD. Read my comment on 'chvela's' review; she was there the day that we were there. Our lunch was GREAT : fast and delicious. Her lunch was not great because she was a part of it; she was a loud, obnoxious, sour, old biddy that God could not please if he had parked and washed her SUV, waited on her hand and foot, made her lunch himself, and picked up the tab for it too! The poor sweet little waitress never said anything to her but "Yes mam" and "No mam"! (Never one "rude" word.) I was a bit surprised, and proceeded to join in, as the whole restaurant (patrons, not staff) started clapping when this abhorant loud old lady finally left!! Anyway, we ALWAYS enjoy our time at Eden. The food and service are always outstanding. We HIGHLY RECOMEND Eden to everyone.
