In Short – One of Dallas' most comprehensive fine wine collection with over 1,500 labels to choose from. Bottles are conveniently grouped together by grape varietal or by region. Customers are encouraged to venture through to the once-exclusive-members-only, Bodega Wine Bar located in the back of the store to enjoy their wine selection at retail store prices. The cavernous wine bar serves a limited food menu and wines by the glass. Cigar smoking is also permitted.

Editor's Tips

Save Money:
Customers can drink wine at retail store prices, making it one of the best values in town.
On the Menu:

Great Music, Great Tapas, Even Greater Wine.

by lnt51797 at Citysearch

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, but clearly the wine tasting experience is a strength for the Bodega bar. Decor is beautiful, perfect for a late night wine and tapas. Learned from the owner that he toured Europe considering the details of this dining, wining, and relaxing work of art.

Thoroughly knowledgeable staff.

Did I mention live Flamenco?

Finished the evening with a cigar in the courtyard, still enjoying my favorite wine (from a large selection) and live music.

Looking forward to my next trip to Dallas.

Wow, what a find!

by winegirl_dfw at Citysearch

I do not see a lot of advertisements on this spot, actually this is where I found out about it. The moment you walk in to the store, you think to yourself, oh no, another "retail wine bar" which we all know are pretty to look at but not very fun to enjoy wine in. Then you see this small green sign that says Bodega Bar. I walked in last night and was floored. Maybe 80 or so people relaxing to lounge music in this oasis cave with dark woods and lit with candles. The house wines were as good as most of the premium wines in Restaurants with even better selections that didn't make you cringe at the prices. I even saw a wine I had seen at Cru for $55 that they were selling for $25. I guess you can get the best of both worlds at my new favorite hangout. Talking to a member of the staff (Wendy) and the owner (Amir), it gets busy on the weekends but during the weeks it is a more relaxed atmosphere. I had a cheese board and a fantastic Super Tuscan that Amir helped pick out. I will be back and often, I can't believe I have been here this long and did not know about this place.

  • Pros: Ambiance, Friendly Staff, Huge Fine Wine Selection, Expert Staff
  • Cons: It was hard to find, you almost have to know exactly where you are going, maybe thats a positive

Unexpected experience

by joedrexel at Citysearch

My wife, brother, and son walked in on this place on Saturday afternoon to shop for a few bottles of wine. Little did we know that we would stumble upon a most unique and pleasureable experience. Very nice showroom, wines displayed by regions, and a knowledgeable staff. After purchasing our bottle of wine, we headed to the "back", The Bodega Bar! The atmosphere was incredible.....intimate seating, lovely lighting, just right music and our just purchased wine poured and enjoyed. Ameir and Wendy were the perfect hosts! A must do for wine lovers! We will definitely be back!

THE BEST SELECTION

by hbanks22 at Citysearch

The selection is awesome! Tons of wines from $8-$80, they have it. Make your selection and take it directly to the Bodega Bar and enjoy. Late hours and good cigars, I love it!!!
