Editorial Review for Campania Pizza & More – by Nathan Stull

In Short
Blue and white mosaic tiled tables outside offer alternative seating to the small dining area inside that features specialty pastas and other foods for sale on the walls. Campania has Italian buffalo mozzarella flown in from the motherland. The pizza menu has 20 kinds of pies, all Neopolitan style. The sorrento pie is cheese, potatoes, mushrooms, sausage and olive oil all covered with leaves of fresh basil. Calzones, sandwiches and salads are also available.

Great pizza, it's true. However, after happily delivering to my home before, Campagnia tonight flatly told me it's "out of area" with no apology. C'mon, it's not good business to act that way toward a loyal customer.

Pros: Pizza

Cons: Service

I will admit that I've never been to Italy, and this may be how they make 'em there, but now I know why the chef from New York won the international pizza competition (which took place in Italy)! Sorry, but I'm just not a fan of the thin "cracker" crust--sort of insubstantial to my taste, not filling or satisfying or particularly flavorful. And, yes, the large salads were not exactly large. I'm sure "dainty" eaters really love this place, but for normal appetites or families Dallas has better.

Pros: Stylish decor

Cons: Heartiness of food
